So, should we bench Lin and Asik? What Vets are you talking about? And let's note that if want to rebuild one of the ways is for Martin to explode to 23ppg again and we trade him for picks at the trade deadline. Do we really want him to fail and bury him on the bench?
I don't remember when, but I believe Morey insinuated that KMart didn't get traded in the offseason because they wanted to up his value for a mid-season swap. It certainly would make a lot of sense given how crappy he played last year. Also, just throwing rookies into the fire generally doesn't work out. You have all these perennial losing teams with their rotation full of youngster, and they all end up playing like utter crap. Some veteran presence is always needed so that the youngsters can develop. Because unfortunately, we don't have anyone who is already super-bound like a rookie Lebron or Durant.
I voted make the playoffs and get destroyed in the first round but I don't believe the team will get destroyed in the first round. If the team can make the playoff which literally mean the young team has chemistry and learning well to get destroyed. I believed the team will put up a good fight. Who knows, Rockets may make it to the second round.
No K-Mart If he plays well during the preseason, I doubt his value will get much higher. Deal him sooner rather than later, preferably for a pick. .

I disagree. Basketball is so much about confidence. So much so. I think the Rockets take away some of their confidence when they send their first round picks right to the D-league. It's like "You're not ready for this league yet." I know that's not what they think of them but that's what these rookies will think of themselves... I've never seen a superstar be so humbled by his own team. Most teams who get solid young players play them and play them a lot in the early stage of their careers. Some of them are immediately placed into the starting lineup and I'm not talking about just top 5 picks. Parsons started right away meanwhile Morris was benched and then NBDL'd. Just by watching them you could tell one's confidence was higher and it has taken some time for Morris (who came into the draft comparing himself to Carmelo or Pierce) to gain any semblance of confidence back. If the Rockets are excited about D-mo, Lamb, Jones, or White the best thing they can do is to give these guys serious minutes. Any ways I've always been pro-tank. That means that you play the young guys over the vets you have. See if you can trade the vets away for more young players or draft picks...and repeat this process until you find a superstar player. Hey and if this team of young players sneaks into the playoffs...congrats, you most likely have found your young allstar-superstar player. I know this process can be based entirely on luck. You can draft Shabazz and he turns out to be a complete bust...but it is what it is and it has worked over and over again. All championship teams are built around a guy they drafted. Perhaps except that recent Pistons team, but they are definitely the exception.
The roster is perfect for tanking if managed correctly. A lot of youth with a popular face for the franchise that can rake in the stats/seats.
