There is a lot more to being able to run an offense than being a good passer. You have to be able to make great decisions and see a play before it has actually developed.

Forbes was forced to play point some last year. He's worse than Douglas at it. He can't handle the press, takes up all 8 seconds just getting over half court and can't start the offense. He cannot play point or initiate......period.

Neither Douglas and Macahdo can control the tempo and flow of the game...
PG has to do more than just pass the ball.

Lin has a calming effect when he is in the game, you can see the contrast when he is out.
So whoever is stepping in there for him needs to be able to do the same

It seems like after Lin checks out of the game, the coaching staff has given the green light to the players that whoever gets the rebound brings the ball up. I dont like this at all! Give it to your point guard. Lin, Machado, and Douglas should be the only guys bringing the ball up the court when they are in the game.

So the correct answer is: Omer Asik. He's going to run the offence when Lin is on the bench.

+1 I actually liked what little I saw of White last night. He seems to play team ball, handing off, setting screens (although he never got the ball back). White might be able to eventually play a Pippen-type role on offense. Asik is a good post passer so I wouldn't mind dropping it off to him either. Douglas is not a PG, can't see the open players or the play develop, even though I love his attitude and energy. Machado has a good feel for the ball on offense, but is too lazy on D, doesn't box out, and brings zero intangibles for what you need to win a game (grabbing loose balls, tipping passes, stripping big guys, helping out, etc.), so I wouldn't play him.

I'd like to see White handle the ball. He's a huge guy in the backcourt so he'd have no problem surveying the floor.
