Mid 3Q, I would have bet all three of my children's souls that this thread would rear its ugly head. You're as predictable as a Houston summer.

Nobody wearing a Texan helmet last night looked elite. It happens. Rodgers threw zero TDs and led his team to 12 points earlier this year. Fine to be discouraged but to pretend 60 minutes upends 9 games is patently ridiculous.

Grand scheme of things, next week's game is 1,000,000,000,000 times more important.

Remember after the 1992 NBA Finals when Jordan said he just wanted everyone to see the difference between him and Drexler? That's what I felt like what Rodger's performance last night said to the world about him and Schaub. (And you can take the Schaub/Drexler comparison any way you want, the point is they are not Jordan/Rodgers).

Schaub can't scramble away from the rush and throw a tightrope bullet on the run and hit his target on the numbers like Rodgers can. We know that. He can't carry the team on his shoulders, go no huddle in a 2 minute offense and gunsling the ball around when behind and needing to catch up like Rodgers can. So we build a team that hides his weaknesses; a strong run game and a stellar defense. When those don't click, well don't look for Schaub to pull any The Drive, The Drive II, or The Catch miracles from him.

No QB is going to be that effective when they are running for their life, especially when they are not good at throwing on the run.

rogders picked the defense apart... i've never seen jonathan joseph get picked on like that before... man-to-man coverage with no safety help = field day for a good qb/wr combo

You must have missed last Monday's game, then. Joseph was picked on pretty regularly by the Jets and got beaten BADLY by several receivers. Sanchez just misfired on a few of the throws. Rodgers didn't.

My guess is the groin injury is really getting to him. We need him to tough it out against Baltimore, but rest up over the bye and even a week or two after that, if need be. As of now, he's not right and he has to be come January.

Schaub isn't Drexler, he's more like Jerome Kersey or Buck Williams if you want to talk 90's Blazers.

Decent enough to get the job done when powered with a strong supporting cast, but not going to win the game for you.

QFT. Is Schaub a HOF or a top 5 QB of all time? Clyde is one of the greatest SG ever.

Anyone who tries to blame this loss on Schaub not being elite is an idiot. The O-Line did a terrible job protecting him. Not even Rodgers can throw 6 TD passes if he got the same protection that Schaub got.

People are very selective on who they want to blame. It's the fantasy football syndrome that has turned them into drones with a tiny football mind. (oooh shiny object).
Football is a team game, all parts have to work together.

What these people forget is that when a Defense is clicking, like the green and gold was, they will turn any Qb into heath shuler. Afc championship, Ravens made Brady look like a rookie. Last night, all phases failed.

Schaub is a leader and if you want to go far in the playoffs you'd better hope newton, gump pick up the pace. shoot, last night, even Brown was getting annihilated.
