Should have been. Spoiler When they started exploring further in the jail with 7 minutes to go in the episode, I knew i was going to have the metaphorical blue balls this week

Remembering how last season's premiere was, I should be glad that this one had so much action, and a lot of suspenseful parts. But the filler parts, ughhhh. I forgot how long the commercial breaks were too.
I'm glad there was more action to this premiere. Something we've finally been wanting. Yes, there wasn't much dialogue to but plenty of drama and suspense to move the story. Dialogue can come later. It's good to have an action-packed episode every once in a while. And even though this is nitpicky, I was rofl'ing when they turned the aimbots on and were headshotting walkers left and right with no recoil. Last season, they even established the limited munitions and had to have target practice where nobody could hit the broad side of a barn. Now they're all part of SEAL team 6. This lack of attention to detail kinda ruins it a bit.
If it were me, and this may be the wrong way to go about it, but instead of walking down dark halls, why not make noises and draw them out into a more open space? How hard would it have been to leave the women behind in the cell block, go to the next cell block, bang some stuff together, and as the walkers stroll over to see what the commotion was, take them out in small groups. Same thing with when they first went into the prison facility after securing the grassy area. Why go towards them, they were all walking in your direction anyway, why not let them stroll over in groups of 2s and 3s instead of running into the mob and taking the chance of being surrounded. And the little kid picking off zombies at 50 yards with a pistol? Get real.
Seriously? Season 2 premiere on the highway was all suspense, and maybe the best part of this entire awful show's run. I'm done. There were episodes that you'd beg for a small group of zombies. This premierte was so boring it can't even make ~30 zombies feel exciting.
More strategy which is good, less Lori which is great. It was never about action as much as it was about the characters doing something besides milking cows. Spoiler Of course more characters are going to die in order to make room for the new characters. AMC has probably put a cap on how many actors can speak per episode, so killing characters keeps the budget from skyrocketing.
Something else. Spoiler Considering how many characters get bit below the waist, I'm surprised none of them have made any attempt to wrap their lower legs in leather or heavy cloth. Hell, even duct tape might help.
The video game inspired armored zombies were kind of funny, watched bits of Talking Dead afterward and they mentioned it too. I was waiting for the first level boss to come out. They actually moved pretty quickly I was surprised they got to a certain point by the end of the first episode.
Lol yeah, the funniest part was the look of surprise when clobbering them over the head didn't work! Duh!!
Yeah that was kind of silly especially the surprised looks when the they figured out the could kill them by stabbing them in the neck. It was a solid opening but almost seems like they took the action to the extreme in response to the negative feedback from last season.
Didn't really buy the part where the zombie that looked dead suddenly wakes up when the old dude walks by. What are we supposed to believe the zombie was doing...setting a trap or sleeping? I'm also guessing the old guy miraculously survives and will now affectionately be known as Long John Silver. ARRR...THERE BE ZOMBIES HERE!!! ARRR!!!!! I enjoyed it, though. The cramped prison hallways with the zombie hordes was kind of creepy and claustrophobic feeling. Would have been cool if they all died in a zombie sandwich in the hallway.
last season when the zombies take over the barn Hershel fired 38 rounds in a row from his shotgun. It was hirrarious.
the opening scene showed that during the time lapse between last season and this season, the crew had adjusted to the world they were living in and made a well oiled machine out of their process of scavenging and zombie killing. they adapted and became better "hunters" during this process going town to town and house to house while looking for safety and shelter for a group that includes a pregnant woman, clearly farther along in her pregnancy. there were way more than 30 zombie killed last night. I didn't watch The after show but I'd be willing to say there at least 50-80 kills in the season opening. Carol isn't the best shooter yet but clearly Carl is better and Glens girl is a fearless zombie killer with her knife. if you say you are done with the show, dont watch it and stop posting.
Good first episode. It seems like the prison will just replace the farm for season 3 but whatever I still find each episode entertaining.
Still to many simple logic and plot errors that shouldn't be happening. These people just to dumb **** too often
