yes we are top 3. one game doesnt define a whole season. 49ers got steamrolled today as well. packers had to have this game . we came in thinking they were gonna take care of them.
ha...i forgot that. obvious troll not so obvious. Blaine Gabbert will lead the jags to the promised land. lol.
One loss, and the sky is falling. Texans are fine. AFC is a 3 team race between Baltimore, New England, and Houston.
5-1 is better than .500 but when everyone constantly says you haven beat anybody then drop a turd against a quality team, its tough to argue against them..
it can be argued GB isn't a quality team. they were under .500. so there, we don't just beat up on bad teams.
You could say this about most of the teams, after one game. is Falcons record misleading? Is Minny, Arizona, 49ers, record misleading?
I don't care what a team's record is. If they have a good QB, they can beat anyone, and the Packers have a great QB. No excuses for the Texans, though. They got stomped and will have to endure a week of embarrassment until next Sunday when they have a chance to win back their pride. And kudos to the Packers. They needed a win and they got it. And the East Coast media can suck it. Any troll who gleefully post an ESPN hit piece this week should be put on ignore. I don't give two ####s what those morning idiots say about this lose, so don't bother posting it.
Agreed. Even with tonight's bad loss, the Texans have still played better overall than either Baltimore or New England. The Ravens struggled to beat the Browns, Chiefs and Cowboys the past 3 weeks - not exactly a murderer's row. The Pats are 3-3 with losses to Arizona and Seattle, neither of whom are overwhelming.
haven't beat any good teams yet, until I see that. It doesn't really matter what the record is. I won't be reassured that this team is great by any win except one against a good team (@Chicago, @New England are the only ones left on the schedule, leaving Baltimore out because of their recent injuries). Yes by making the playoffs anything can happen, and sure anything might happen, but for now, I would give the Patriots the upper hand as the AFC favorites.
I love all the knee jerk madness. This is what happens in sports people, no team wins every game. To be great you have to overcome the tough games/situations. Do none of you knee jerkers not remember clutch city? No the Texans situation is not as dire as the Rockets was in Phoenix but, that's not my point. Great teams learn and overcome. We will see if the Texans decide that they want to be great. I'm all in. I still believe.
The Texans got a lesson in what a Super Bowl winning offense can do, and they get 11+ weeks to figure out how to stop it. Rodgers tonight would have put up 40 on any other defense in the league.
Every champion has been smacked around a few times. In every sport. Texans got beat down, move on to Baltimore and return the favor. Not about getting knocked down, it's about how you get up.
The only thing that has bothered me (for over a year) is that Phillips has only seen 1 elite quarterback before last night (Ryan wasn't elite last year, Manning isn't elite yet). It was Drew Brees last year and he shredded the defense up in a hurry in the second half. by the grace of God this team has avoided playing elite quarterbacks. So no I don't think the record is misleading, but the way we've judged the defense as a whole has been slightly skewed since we haven't encountered an elite air attack on a regular basis. We still don't have a good picture since Cushing is out but what team doesn't have to fight injury? We have plenty of time to learn how to disrupt elite quarterbacks but I have yet to see it done under Wade Phillips.
How does the record not matter? The only two things that matter in the NFL is W/L and being hot going into the playoffs.
