You can actually lead and be tough on your teammates, including chewing them out and yelling at them and whatever, without being a complete dick to the guy after he's already left your team.

    True story.

Must be tough winning title after title when your team is stacked almost every season. The only few years that you have a scrub rosters, you throw a fit and threw your teammates under the bus and wanted to be traded. What a great leader he is....

    Yellow Mamba Out....

Quality leaders never treat their teammates/ co-workers/ etc. like **** -- Kobe is not a leader he's a follower with an attitude. Phil Jackson led Kobe and he led Jordan.

    KingCheetah out.

Pro sports is all about winning. If you win, you are a good leader, if you lose, you are not. Kobe had his peak wasted with the likes of Smush Parker and Kwame Brown, and he's remembered as a loser for those years.

Smush Parker had his career years in Lakers, hit double digits after being a journey man in the league. Got a 4M/2y contract in Miami only to be kicked out in 2 months due to attitude problem. He should be thankful to Kobe for earning that big paycheque.

Second this. This is true, no matter how you twist it. Kobe won, but not without being on a top-3 stacked team in the league with also some of the highest payroll. Without it, we all saw what happened.

sold his soul for rich and fame. Now he will live the rest of his life with no friends, only to be surrounded by those who share the same goals as he does.

Quite the contract....Magic and Kobe. Sure, Magic and Bird got in their teammates grills. But the one thing Magic had in spades that Kobe is clueless about is he kept it positive, he kept the leadership in a positive manner and you can't find an ex-teammate that didn't enjoy playing with Magic. Granted, he wasn't a scorer but the greatest playmaker that ever played.

However, be that what it may, Kobe has missed out on the postive vibe of what Magic brought to the table. And that positive attitude is a serious element to getting the best out of your teammates. Kobe's stated goal was to get the best out of his teammates. Although as the leader that requires him to get in their faces and knock their heads when they're not ballin', it also requires loads of positive reinforcement to keep things balanced and truly get the best out of your mates. Hence, this is why Magic got the best out of his teammates and although Kobe wants to get the best out of his teammates, up until now he has failed more than he has succeeded in that quest. If it wasn't for PJax, and his Zenmastery, I'm afraid Kobe may be stuck on one or two rings right now.....perhaps even zero.

Yelling at someone during a game for sucking is one thing. Disrespecting them off the court in a normal setting is another. He wouldn't even talk to some of his teammates at all off the court because of their basketball skill, or lack off. That's just ignorant.

I've never seen a "superstar" that has as many problems with teammates as kobe. Guys love playing with lebron. Guys love playing with magic, bird, jordan, dream, barkley, shaq, but this dude, smh. They respect him and his game and in the end, that's all that's needed, but look how many times he's been swept out the playoffs. Go look at his record in eimination games.

Why does he have to tell the entire media or "FaceBook" this? Why not discuss it with teammates inside the locker room? Why the need to get everyone outside the locker room involved?
