What is there to be excited about for the Knicks? They are stuck in first round exit mode for the foreseeable future. They don't have any cap flexibility so they are stuck with what they have for the next few years. While other teams in the East were busy adding pieces (Bynum, Joe Johnson, Jason Terry, Ray Allen), they added Felton and a bunch of old guys. The only youth they have on the team is being mentored by JR Smith.

With our history of injuries, the Rockets are carefully limiting Lin's minutes to 20-25 min per game so far.

When the real games begin, we'll see whether Rox or Knicks will play better. Time to ignore the critics

It's hard to compare players you watched a lot and a player you probably don't watch much. It's understandable you have some emotional attachment with your former players. But Hollinger's PER ranking doesn't agree with you. Last season, Lin was ranked 38 among all players with a PER of 19.97. Lowry was 51 with a PER of 18.89. Gragic was ranked 63 with a PER of 18.03. PER has flaws but it's far more objective than other rankings.

People need to stop reading trash sports columns/sites. If you want info/news read ESPN, Yahoo, or SI. If you want something funny try Grantland. Stop killing brain cells reading the Daily News which is just barely a step above Bleacher Report.

Wow sounds like a jilted girlfriend. Doesn't the media realize that it was the Knicks own doing why Lin's still not a Knick? Jeez.

    Sigh.

You can look it up, but I'm pretty sure Lin ranked very high either in the NBA or among guards--depending on the stat--for steals, charges taken, blocks and rebounds per 36 among starters. That doesn't happen from being "clever" or being an average athlete.

Agreed. I was a lifelong Knicks fan but couldn't take it anymore and vowed to never support that team again until Dolan is dead.

I am going to go ahead and assume Mr. 2012, that you followed Lin to the Rockets. He is an average PG.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe NYDailyNews is owned by James Dolan. I know he owns a couple of tabloid "news." This is NY media. They build you up only to bring you down... nothing new here.

The whole article just sounds like bitter whining, to be honest, but that part was just too much - the writer's talking like Raymond Felton and Jason Kidd are superstars at a bargain price or something...

No, it's "New York Newsday" that Dolan owns. The NU Dailynews is competitor and has been in feud with Dolan for a while.

Every pro team has a designated a## licker in the media. I now know who that person is for the Knicks.

What bothers me the most is that today's game will give credence to articles like this. Bad timing to have a off-game!
