As for QB, can't imagine either are there for the long term. If they suck enough, come on down Matt Barkley? From Tim Couch to Kelly Holcomb to Jeff Garcia to Trent Dilfer to Charlie Frye to Derek Anderson to Ken Dorsey to Brady Quinn to Jake Delhomme to Seneca Wallace to Colt McCoy to Brandon Weeden, wow.
It's hilarious. We a few #1 and 2 picks overall after the franchise was rebooted and we had nothing to show for it. Anyways, despite the 0-3 record at least the Browns have made these games somewhat competitive each time. We'll see if they keep up this pace in the next few weeks. They look a bit better than last year, and at least the excuse can be made this season that it's a really young team. As for the current QB situation, I thought Weeden was garbage and hopeless after the first game. But he's surprised me in the past 2 games. No way am I saying he's great or I'm even happy with him, but I definitely prefer him over Colt, he looks way more composed. McCoy still looked like a college QB trying to figure out, and he's never showed any signs of improvement IMHO.
I think you guys owe the 2008 Lions an apology for how lightly you are handling their achievement. Sure the Browns season has started off with promise like so many teams before them...but it's keeping up the suck over a long 16 game season that is the true test of the all-time-awful. Huge games still to come against the Colts...if they don't come in unfocused to the best of their ability the Browns could easily win that game. Kansas City has nothing except Charles, if Jamal has a bad game, the Browns are going to be hard pressed to find a way to lose, especially at home. I wouldn't count the Bengals, Chargers, Raiders or Skins as automatic losses. The Browns are going to have to really blow goats to lose all of those games as the grind starts to affect the other awful teams. Sure the Browns are bad, but they have a lot to prove to me before I believe them up to the mantle of the 08' Lions.
