ClutchFans Game Thread: Spurs @ Rockets 10/14/2012 (PRESEASON)

Lin's passing when he gets into the paint has been really bad but that's also the positioning of the players. Bad spacing, bad ball movement and not knowing positions on the court is very bad. Machado's passing and 2nd unit's defense kept us in the game.

 

Is White playing today? If not, looks like he might really be headed for the D league?

 

I'm baffled by McHale's rotation. It really makes no sense.

 

Yes, they are terrible. They don't seem to know much about the players and just bad commentary.

 

I'm really worried about Lin's shot. Let's hope he didn't retool his shot over the summer like Fields did and then it went to crap.

Mchale just pisses me off sometimes...

1. Delfino getting tons of minutes even though he doensn't need them.

2. Royce still not getting any minutes... even Kyle Fogg got minutes.

3. No Asik/Dmo.

 

I can't believe i'm saying this..but our best player might be Asik

 

roxxy, what do you think is going on with lin's shot? We know he worked on it all summer. His shooting coach said he was much improved from last season.

 

The ball movement and spacing are ridiculously bad, everyone just kind of stands around.

I think Lin is having some mental wall because I feel like he's a confidence player, and without it he looks awful.

 

I would like to see both Asik and D-Mo on the floor. Am I the only one?

because Lamb today had zero D

 

I've seen every Lin game since Linsanity started... this is the worse I've seen him play. Can't shoot (really disappointing after all the hoopla about his off season improvement), can't pass, can't defend. It definitely looks like he's pressing out there too... he needs to get his act together fast.

 

I've been saying that since the first game. It's so obvious that they both compensate each other and would probably look great on the court.

 

Anybody scoring the game or anything that wants to share the box score? How's KMart doing?

 

It's preseason. The guy had one bad game (which hasn't even finished yet). Would you change your strategy at this point, in the 3rd game of the preseason, after signing Lin? No, you wouldn't unless you have the temperament of a child. RockSC and Tee-something or other have been hating on Lin forever waiting in the cuts with snipes here and there. It's getting old.

 

Did any of the starting unit have it?

 

Welll his shooting coach raved about Lin's improved shooting this summer. I haven't seen it so far, that's all.
