Hopefully, you're joking. What defines bust for the 14th pick in a relatively weak draft class? It's too early to label him a bust.

However, if we're going by CXbby standards and expectations, yeah, dude's a bust :)

He's actually looking better now than he did all season last year. He's improved, which is something you can't always say about other potential busts, like say, Twill.

Off topic, but Twill looks good right now. He should get a spot on the Pistons.

I hope that Marcus proves me wrong. He is a likeable guy, has talent and could have a really bright future in this league.

Seeing his brother playing so well in Phoenix makes me want to see this kid succeed. If he is to succeed, it is going to be up to him.

I personally would like to see him included in a trade package to Phoenix for Gortat...who knows what the future holds.

It would be a PR bonanza for the suns to have the Morris Twins on the same team, and their familiarity with each other just might bring out the best in Marcus.

Potential maybe, but that doesn't matter because Morris now owns TWill when it comes to self-awareness.

So Marcus Morris is going to Canton, Ohio?

    Pro Football Hall of Famer?

Marcus Morris did improve this year over last. At least that's something compared to other lottery picks that basically stayed the same since their rookie year. But the thing is, how good will he be? He has an all around offensive game but all the aspect of his game isn't elite.

Brandon Roy for example isn't athletic either but Roy was successful before his knee injury because of his killer instinct. Though not athletic, Roy has an amazing quick first step and a killer counter crossover which makes the defenders always off balance and on their heels. Also, Roy is a great finisher around the rim. He doesn't jump over opponents, but able to get around them by switching hands in mid air and maneuvering to finish the basket.

Morris is talented but I don't see him possessing that talent. He's a good player in college but it would be much more difficult for him to translate it to the NBA. He isn't quick enough nor is his ball handling great enough to play the 3 in the NBA. He is a decent shooter but can he be a knock down spot up shooter? He can't play the 4 because he isn't big or strong enough to compete. He will sometimes create mismatches on the offensive side but opponents will also have an advantage against him on the defensive end.

At this point, I'd take a second round pick for him. If for no other reason than he will not get much playing time with us anyway.

I'm willing to bet a whole lot that Morris never ends up being a true "franchise player", but he looks to have all the makings of a fine NBA player for years to come. Definitely could develop into a starter for us, and who knows? Maybe even our true 2nd option. But for the 14th pick in a weak draft? He's definitely looking promising for us.

He's like a hybrid of an SG in a 3.

    Very very unique.
