Nats come back in the late innings to beat St. Louis 3-2.

Extremely lucky to escape with that one. Gio was so off to start the game, but managed to bounce back.

time for jim joyce to be removed from 1st base ump duties permanently.

that call is not close enough to get wrong. something's wrong with the guy. clearly.

Detwiler comes up big, giving up 1 run in 6 innings
Relievers come in and strike out 8 in a row
    Werth hits walk off homerun
    Gio tomorrow at home
    Go Nats!

Still kinda early but Cardinals down 4-0. Work to do if they want to come back.

Make that 6-0. And out goes Wainwright.

The freaking Cardinals, man. Just like last year. I can't believe what I'm seeing. They get a horrendous outing from their horse and still find a way to come back and take a lead late.

The crowd in D.C. reminds me of the fans at the Astrodome in 1980 and 1986 NLCS.

And now the second-guessing of shutting down Stephen Strasburg intensifies...

Reminds me of Game 6 of the 2005 NLCS. I know exactly what those Washington fans are feeling.

the Nats fiddled with Strasburg shenanigans and were properly punished by the sports gods.

don't be surprised if that turns into a curse and they never sniff the playoffs again.
