There's always one hype pick in the draft. Last year, it was Jimmer. This year, its Rivers.

It's so good to hear Calvin Murphy talking basketball again. I wish they'd give him Drexler's commentator spot. Drexler is just so awful and Murph is so good.

PPat cant even go full-speed in the games anymore. Its like after the ankle surgery, he is always a half-step too late

such a shame, dude had potential

Stat lies. If you watch the game, Jones missed 2 3pointers because of the shot clock. Ppat missed the 5 shots which were wide open. The intensity was there for both. I still prefer Jones over Pat in the last 6 minutes of the game.

How could you say he played horrible? He was the key component on the defensive revival in the 3rd quarter with his pnr defence. And still shot 50% at the end of the day. Jones did not have a good game offensively. He was 1-5. That is rarely a good offensive day.

D-Mo looked really smooth offensively, but his rebounding and defense were terrible. He doesn't box out well, and on defense he constantly lose his man so he has to pick another guy to mark on the perimeter, in doing so giving the other team a mismatch, not to mention placing him farther from the rim for a rebound. Those can be taught though, I still have hopes for him.

He is one of the best PnR defenders in the league.

Our fans underate what they don't understand. A consistently great defender who doesn't foul or turn the ball over is the ideal role player. He got 4 rebounds in 20 minutes, not great, but not bad when you consider Asik vacuumed up the other 15.

Stop hating on Pat, he is fine.

Clearly you don't understand how defence works. It is not about blocked shots and steals, although they are helpful. You noticed how the guy never even though about posting up PPat? Did you notice how they could not score in the 3rd quarter? Thats PPat with the pnr defence. He moves his feet incredibly well for a PF.

2Pat does his thing, but nobody can deny what Tjones can do.....
Tjones is the better rebounder, did not show tonight, but he just is.

If you have a starting 5 of 4 role players and one offensive specialist, you would want to have more talent to be fair.

Good game, granted the team we played was coming off a back to back but I like how there are signs of improvement with our starting five. Martin playing defense, Patterson being effective along with Asik and Parsons making for a stronger unit then I thought.

If you are looking for scoring/point Patterson sucks.

Patterson's strength is that he is a taller version of Chuck Hayes with a better shot. He plays great team defense on the floor and is smart enough to know how to position himself so that he can disrupt wing and guard play. Unlike Chuck or Scola however dude won't really fight for rebounds but hopefully he will be paired up with a big willing to do such every time he is on the court.

The gist of this is Patterson is not unstoppable, and Jones needs more time developing.

We played against the Hornets..Patterson got ate up last year by bigger/quicker 4's. Couldn't rebound at all!..you are giving Ppat too much credit..Asik deserves.
Do you consider what he did tonight impressive!?...Dude isn't even good in the post..rushes his shots. NOT impressed.:p
