I wouldn't say it's as simple as Jordy sucks as a first option so they'll force it to Cobb. Cobb's in because of the return yards and he's been used in every position in the offense, including getting designed run plays. He also had a security blanket role for Rodgers in their 49er game with plenty of catches.

Hawkins is the more boom/bust type, because he doesn't get the targets that Pettigrew will get, but he does a lot more with them. And Joe Haden covering Green should mean more targets to Gresham and Baby Hawk.

If I can't get Garcon (had to put in a claim for him), do you like one over the other b/t Moore and DHB? They're both available.

Should I sell Andy Dalton high? I dont know about him against the rest of the schedule (PIT, BAL, etc) I have Schaub, I could pick up other QB.
which player should I get from him? like Welker, AJ Green? I have Desean Jackson.

I don't think anyone will trade any of those receivers for Dalton. That being said, if you can get one of them for Dalton, do it!!

A crappy Titans team owned PIT without Troy... so as long as he's out, don't think of it as typical Steelers D.

Jeremy Maclin against the Lions or Shonn Greene against the Colts?

    Nicks @SF
    or
    Crabtree vs NYG

The only reason this is even a question is because Nicks is coming off an injury (if he will even play)

    Vick Ballard @ NYJ or
    Steven Jackson @ MIA

Jackson is the better back, but he's going against the top run defense. Ballard's making a first time start against a bad team but he's completely unproven.

don't trade dalton. that would be dumb. schaub is one hit away from ruining your season. besides that, dalton is twice the qb that schaub is already. I said it once before that andy dalton will be the next drew brees. He isn't there yet but he is coming for the title fast.

Crabtree is a much safer play (one of the league leaders in targets and he converts them, plus Giants D giving up 8th most points to WRs), but Nicks has upside. If you do start Nicks, you should know that the SF gives up the fewest points to opposing WRs.

Hawkins actually gets his fair share of targets (2nd highest on the team). And he has been productive with them. In a PPR I'm starting him every week.

Should start Shonn Greene vs. the colts or Vick Ballard against the jets?

There is no way I would play crabtree over nicks. If nicks is cleared to play, go with nicks. He is still Eli's target.

But the distribution of those targets have been weird.
    Hawkins
    Week 1: Many targets - blowout loss - 12pts
Week 2: Few targets - Self Made TD - 11pts
Week 3: Few targets - Self Made TD - 11pts
    Week 4: Few targets - No TD - 4pts
    Week 5: Many targets - 8pts - I didn't watch this game

He's hot and cold in my book. A week 4 repeat can happen easily, but then again, Cobb is also a gamble each week (but less so now that Jennings is out imo)

Shonn Greene has been invisible after week 1, and has less carries each week, so I'd gamble with Ballard.

Yeah, but I don't think it's a big difference either way, especially if PPR. PPR wise, Crabtree has had 1 bad game this year, and that's because Smith was off and they chose to run. If this game is competitive at all, Smith will have to throw and Crabtree is by far the #1WR in San Francisco. As for Nicks, he's banged up, playing against a great defense and surrounded by other talented receivers. Even when healthy, he doesn't have that many more targets than everyone else on his team. Manning has no problem with spreading it around.

My only point of contention is that while you are technically correct crabtree is the #1 wr target, everybody knows that Vernon Davis is the top offensive target regardless of position.

I am hoping that changes soon to because I have manningham who I think should be more involved in the offense based on his reception percentage, but alex smith only targets vernon davis in the endzone.
