its quite pathetic how some rocket fans were so quick to anoint dmo as a future all star. a couple of great summer league games and all of a sudden he's the left handed dirk nowitzki. Dmo looks like a conceited wind bag imo and that got parlayed into great players have great swagger = he's gonna be a great player.
It's good he knows. I wish they try him at PF tonight instead of center. Again...not sure why we sign Delfino instead of a backup center so Motie is not forced to play center.
Then we should play Greg Smith. When the team understands that helping young players grow is better than trying to put the best team out there then finally they can move forward instead of stay in this perpetual state of mediocrity.
My best guess is they want to see more of what Pat and Dmo can do at the 5. I think they know what to expect of Greg more than those two. The good part for Greg, is neither of those choices are "true" 5's in any sense, and Greg just might get some minutes there before pre-season is over.
Spoke with Motiejunas after the game... <iframe width="640" height="360" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/kkl7c0QrNAE" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
I didn't get any pics. It would of been kind of weird to be like can i get a pic because your hot. lol She sat right beside me so I couldn't really sneak a pic in either. lol DMO waved to her and she clapped every time he scored.
I like his attitude. He puts responsibility for his performance on himself, not on a myriad of excuses that we sometimes hear from other players. And I'm glad that he's settling in and getting to know Houston. I have high hopes for the big guy. It's just going to take time for him to get used to the league, the way the game's played and officiated here.
Funny how that he misses the Yao place. http://bbs.clutchfans.net/showthread.php?t=226760 Yao restaurant closed due to non-payment of lease.
I like that Motiejunas is realistic about the challenge of the NBA and is basically saying what McHale says. A far cry from the "Dwight Howard has to catch me first" bravado.
