Does anyone else have a problem with this game being played in Houston? It is technically a GUY home game that they sold the rights to and moved to Houston. If it was a friendly, no big deal...that's done all of the time. But to sell an official WC qualifying match and play it in an entirely unrelated country?

It's not a huge deal considering Mexico should win easily no matter where it's played. It just seems to go against the spirit of the process.

Donovan (and Shea) ruled out of qualifiers

    Mr. Klinsmann,

This is not an excuse to allow Kyle Beckerman anywhere near the field. I don't care if they're playing my son's U-6 team. He does nothing to help this team. You should have called in Brad Davis.

    Thanks,

I'll never understand why he is consistently called up.

FIFA from top to bottom is all about money. The spirit you speak of is entirely an illusion.

On a positive note, this money could really help the Guyana Federation IF it is used wisely. On that point it would certainly be helpful. That's a big IF but let's hope they spend it properly.

More like how some people pretend Tim Tebow is a football player and would, for some moronic reason, want him on their favorite team.

haha you wish Tebow played on your favorite soccer team don't you!!!

You know that old tired excuse you guys always throw around, that if your best athletes played soccer you would dominate the world.

yes we can, friendlies are even worse than preseason nfl. get over it man, doesn't mean ****.

I'm glad when they did win (statistically bound to happen at some point) it was a friendly. Now for real games the reverse psychology will be in effect.

Mexico will know US can win since they have and never take Azteca for granted against these guys. Trust me this friendly result was a good thing.

"It's friendlies man, we talkin bout friendlies!!!"

I can't believe y'all are all tied up at 7 points.

    From http://www.channelguidemagblog.com/...a-vs-guatemala-world-cup-qualifying-matchup/:

TV Listings for the CONCACAF qualifiers' last third-round games today and Tuesday

I'm hoping EL SALVADOR makes it through... like I predicted... I think the Ticos just had too much trouble after Lavolpe left... he had a good team...

I don't have a huge problem with it. As another poster alluded to, Guyana could really use they money they are going to get from their cut of the gate.

Also, from the way it sounds, Guyana had all of one facility capable of hosting this match and it was already booked up with a cricket match. I would much rather Guyana have a "home" game at BBVA than have players risk injury playing on some gravel parking lot in bad lighting with 200 people in attendance.
