I could write a 300-page book on why the Lakers won't do this trade or why this deal would never happen in this lifetime.

Lol you're crazy, Hollinger's formula says it increases their wins by 7.

Jones=lesser Howard with BETTER jumpshot and YOUNGER
    K-Mart=best scorer off the bench
    Morris=not total bust

I guess you overvalue Dwight heavily.

Put yourself in Presti's shoes. Yes I agree Martin would "Probably" sign for less but its still a "RISK." If he's going to look at trades, there might be better options out there for him then putting himself in multiple risky situations.

I have specified all the possible coherent options OKC has on the table and you throw this nonsense at me? :)

Please backread so i won't have to type the same thing over and over my fellow Rocket fan. :)

Seriously, I invested days into this and ran it through all possible simulations. This is the most realistic trade in this thread and it totally makes sense.

If the Rockets had the best Center in the game, but he was currently rehabbing a back injury, you'd be ok trading him away for a rookie who was picked #18 that just played his first preseason game, a pure scorer that has had trouble staying healthy throughout his career, and a 2nd year player that hasn't seen any consistent minutes and doesn't have a set position in the NBA?

your options was basically keep Harden - which they will.
or take a trade that (a) is impossible and (b) makes them worse.

Bro, lay off the drugs. Just kidding. :)

I'm quite surprised how Hollinger hasn't had any managerial offers from any of the 30 NBA teams. ;)

FYI, being a Rocket fan, i've been guilty of overvaluing our players from time to time.

I wonder what Mitch Kupchak would think of this trade? His team would go from having the best frontline in the NBA (Dwight-Gasol) to Gasol-Jamison or Gasol-Jones. Plus Kevin Martin should get used to playing 10mins a game backing up Kobe.

I think you're undervaluing the defensive impact Dwight has on the game, and overvaluing the performance in our 1st preseason game. I hope our players do well, but they are not worth Dwight at the moment.

Someone will most likely offer Harden max, there's no possibility of a "poison pill" type contract. Also, Dolan is an idiot don't ever cite anything he's ever done and pretend it was smart.

So what are you trying to tell us? Your meter seems to indicate we will be a 45 win team. Is that accurate?

If Ricksmith twists it and says he played part in my acting he would suddenly look like a mastermind.
