With all these Terrence Jones love affair posts after summer league and preseason, it makes me think of ... ***runs and ducks for cover***
Not referring to their style of play but thow well they both played before the season. Hopefully TJones does much better when it counts than Cato did.
So I guess anytime any young player has a great pre-season game we are just supposed to put it in the Kelvin Cato category?
No, just when there is a huge reaction (either by the fans, media, or the team personnel) to a pre-season game.
If Jones can perform at Cato's level for us on a rookie contract at age of 21-25, as opposed to Cato's 25-29 with a $42mil contract(which by today's standard is probably $60+mil), I'd be all for it.
Nothing wrong with getting excited about what a player may become. Let's face it, that's about all we have this year. And, the good news is that the Rockets have a ton of young talented players that may become stars. Some of our young guys probably won't pan out, but it looks like Jones is on the right track to being a big success in this league.
