I had a feeling Jones would be the rookie everybody slept on. Only because he was picked at 18.

Machado's passing looks to be in NBA form. He really needs to work on his defence though.

He is way too thin and weak to play center and all his advantages are turned against him at this position.

I hope Royce was watching the game throwing up sick wishing he was out there. He deserves it. He absolutely could have made training camp. Bad start.

The more I think about Jones the more I'm reminded of Chris Bosh. The thing with Bosh is, when he was first drafted everyone thought he was picked too high. But they have the same frame, Bosh didn't look imposing physically but his versatility allowed him to be a matchup nightmare at the 4 early in his career, and later on he developed enough strength to defend 1-3 effectively. I think Jones has that same potential, obviously the talent is there and if he's locked in I think superstar status isn't out of the question. But its all a matter of focus, discipline, hard work and continuing to assert himself despite having talented teammates around him.

Interesting points/comparisons all the way around. Thanks for the insight. But I was under the impression he was a lesser Dwight Howard?

    LOL

so, i didn't watch the game, but apparently Terrence Jones was the player of the game. What was DMo and Lamb doing wrong? Was Lamb just missing shots, becasue he was 3-9, or was he taking stupid shots?

    Lamb was awesome

D-Mo played pretty well the last 7 min game.

Everybody played pretty well and impressive.

sorry, but 3-9 with 10 points is not awesome. And not to be a party pooper, but don't be fooled by his 8 rebounds. He will not even average half of that in the regular season.

And earlier in the thread, everybody was sayin how bad d-mo was?

Did anyone see that random clip of the bench where Lin was tugging on Parsons' shorts? I was wondering what they were doing.

Yeah, I agree. Also, I think Machado may tend to overpass, eg he dished off at the rim when he could have tried to finish. Something similar happened in a practice game that ended in a nice alley-oop but I still thought he should have finished it himself. And like in practice, he had trouble finishing at the rim on another play.

I am surprised they even play Douglas. Dude is garbage dating back from the Knicks when Lin was there. He didn't even get to play and was shoved to the end of the bench. And here Rockets giving him a chance?? i think Machado is a much much better player. Sorry, i think Douglas is garbage.

You guys are nuts. Lin had like 3 steals, and 4 assists in first 10 minutes of play. It's the second half that he started to get sloppy. He and Asik looked good together though.

I'm sure if Westbrook had picked Lin's pocket on the 3 pt line and started a successful fast break, ppl would be crying about what a scrub Lin is lol.
