Why are the New Apple Maps in IOS 6 so Bad??

    Well I can't speak for others, but personally I used the public transit feature all the time, and it was a lifesaver for me many times. That was precisely one of the reasons I got the iPhone 4 way back when, it had a great maps system that included public transit and a comprehensive biking/walking directions. As someone who used those features extensively, it's a huge dissapointment to not have all that **** integrated into the default maps. The result is a collection of complicated apps and it just isn't as good.

    I'm sure Apple will fix it. But if they don't and I find a better phone, then I'm going to get it.

    It's not about the game. It's just the uppity rich, hot, sorority girls are into that stuff. So either way I'm laughing as I get my D sucked.

    There was even a yahoo article that mentioned girls liked guys with iphones more.

    I've used it plenty of times around LA and it has been great. I don't know why people are whining like it's the world's worst map.

    The search isn't as good as it used to be and the public transportation routes with google is really useful when traveling.

    On the other hand, the turn by turn has actually been excellent and the rerouting is very fast. That feature alone makes it better but it should really be google maps with turn by turn.

    Oh I also like the traffic overlay better on old maps as well but that's more of a nitpick.
