All these politicians lie. The fact checks had I believe 100% of the facts as "stretched truths" or "incomplete" (as in they aren't sure, like Romney's stance on how he will tax and still save money, since they don't have specifics). At the same time, this is common place. They call each other liars even tho they are doing the same thing.
Wrong, boy. It was Obama's repeated lies during the debate that were exposed by the fact-checkers, including the lies on healthcare costs and the several-times-repeated lie on Romney's non-existent $5 trillion tax cut. But those are just the facts...

Honestly, I almost want Romney to win and then see what happens after 4 years when nothing he does is what he said he would do (because it will conflict with some else he said it would do) and PBS is still on the air and publicly funded. obama called romney out several times. he said he couldn't pay for the tax cuts. liberals like deckard are idiots. obama has remained steady and cool that's his appeal. he handled the debate well he responded to romney's lies, called him out for changing positions. i don't know what debate the rest of the 99% of americans were watching.
if 1% think you won the debate then you lost the debate. The goal in a debate is to persuade the audience your position is correct. Even Obama thinks he did poorly.

Everyone with their heads in the sand? Everyone trying to spin things the President's way? We don't have to do that. We can be honest with ourselves and still win the election. Romney lied and Obama let him. Next time, and you'll have two more chances, give the debate performance you're capable of, Mr. President. Even better, give two debate peformances of the caliber the country expects from you. Wake up and put this election away, Mr. President.

The entire point of a debate is to persuade people. If no one is persuaded - or they shift to the other guy - you didn't do a good job. Period. Debates aren't measured by some objective system - they are measured exclusively by the response of the audience.

Romney presented his positions on the issues the way that he has all along. Of course those positions are at odds with the Obama team's efforts to "define" Romney through a scorchingly negative and astonishingly misleading ad campaign, conducted over six months and costing hundreds of millions of dollars. Highlights of this presentation by the Obama team have included accusing Romney of being a murder and a felon (separate claims). What Romney did is present his positions as they actually are, which vividly revealed to everyone who has been watching these ads that Obama is the real liar here. And you can come to his defense if you like, but everyone gets to make up their own minds, and as you can see from the public reaction, Obama is receiving the 'thumbs down'. So with nothing of substance to offer the American people, Barack Obama has been reduced to screaming "Liar! Liar!" and talking about Big Bird. Can this get any more pathetic? If it can, it is hard for me to imagine how. Can you say President Romney? I know you can....

That's why all the commentators, pundits, analysts and political activists say otherwise and it's why the polls have changed significantly since the debate generating momentum for Romney. It's because Obama won duh.
I actually agree with Trador for once. Its the way you used it..as part of a demeaning phrase. If you substitute "mormon" with "black" or "Jew" in that same phrase you'd be called a racist or anti-semetic.
If he and his advisors thought that would persuade people, that would be a great idea. But I'm pretty sure he would have lost by doing that as well.
