Christ, the whining and moaning on this board would make you think that we're a 2-3 team fighting for a chance at the post-season. Cushing is an excellent run blocker and his loss will hurt, but it's not like we have no chance. I've never seen a fan base of the best sports team in a league be so damn pessimistic about EVERYTHING.

Will there be a fine for that block?

Good news is it's not a total knee destruction, obviously sucks to lose him though. He should come back strong though.

I know you're probably referring to the other posters, but I can't stand dirty play.

I don't think the Texans will win against the Packers next week, or go far in the playoffs. Defense wins games. They will be lucky to finish 11-5 after starting off 5-0.

it's not that we don't have a chance without cushing, but we all saw what injuries did last year. Every game, it was one major injury followed by another one. Just hoping history doesn't repeat itself is all. I think what upsets everyone the most is that we're always missing key guys when push comes to shove. It's an annoyance that we can never be fully healthy.

Yes, I understand that. The idea that our season is over is ridiculous. We have watched our team go from one of the worst teams in the league to the very best. That is a special sports experience that VERY VERY VERY few sports fans will ever experience. We should all appreciate this time in Texans history. Does it suck that our Run D will be a problem going forward? Yes. Did it suck that our pass rush was in trouble last year when Mario went down (before we knew Barwin was a pro-bowl caliber LB, knew nothing about Brooks Reed, and JJ Watt was an unproven rookie)? Yes. But we pushed through. Did it suck really, really badly when Schaub went down and we had to rely on a 3rd string rookie? Yes, but we came within one touchdown of the AFC championship.

This forum is filled with BS posts about Andre slowing down based on a sample size of 3 games, with our season being over and giving us no shot over one injury, and complaining that our QB who has won 9 straight games is simply "average." Good god people, enjoy the success we have, it was an incredible season last year and it's going to be an incredible season this year.

From what I've heard, while it may have been dirty, it's not technically illegal. So no, he will not be fined or suspended or anything like that. The NFL rules committee needs to visit this though.

Dobbins and James, I suspect though Mister Alexander will be rotated into taking more defensive snaps as well due to their age. Sharpton is probably still 3 to 4 weeks away from being able to play a game right now even though he will be able to come off the PUP list and practice after this coming Sunday.

I'm eagerly awaiting sharpton's return, but can he fill in for Cushing? Didn't he play demeco's spot last season?

Bradie James, with Dobbins taking James' role.

Maybe I am overreacting but Slauston should be suspended until Cushing comes back. Seriously, why isn't anyone looking into this? Why is this block not technically illegal? Defensive players are going to on thin ice if they allow this kind of stuff to happen...

I'm still a little confused by Sharptons injury. I can't find the exact prognoses. I know it was a hip injury but it was always referred to as a setback.

I think it was dirty and I was pissed too. All I'm saying is that I wouldn't be crying about it. Anger I get, tears I don't.

I don't think anyone is crying. This seems to be a recurring feat for Houston sports fans. Every time you think we finally have a chance to win big, someone important gets hurt and that's usually just the beginning of it.

Why can't we have nice things?

It's a figure of speech, I.e meaning they are sad. I seriously doubt they literally mean they were crying. Don't know why that's so hard to figure out
