Andre is getting old. He's not the player he once was, but he is still a good player and is a huge part of our offense. The Texans are in the process of rebuilding the WR position. We drafted Martin and Posey this past draft, and we will probably draft another WR this next year. I would like to see Martin and Posey get a little more involved in the offense, and I think they will get more involved during the second half of the season.

I'm not worried. He'll rise to the occasion when we need it. Take him off the field and I guarantee you everything becomes 3X harder on everyone.

Yes, after last night's game, I'm concerned about Andre. That was his worst performance in a long time. I'm very concerned about his body language...sometimes I saw a lack of focus out there. Uncharacteristic of him. The AJ of 2-3 seasons ago would have never dropped the passes he's dropping this year. He hasn't been quite himself all season, even taking into account that he's an aging WR that's past his prime...and taking into account that Kubiak is limiting him to try and keep him healthy for the playoffs.

    Cromartie deserves some credit, though.

That surgery he had last year was not necessary, but they did it so he could come back quicker. I wonder if something isn't quite right with that leg.

He also mentioned in the article with Schaub that the leg feels off, but he's not sure if its just mental.

I'm not worried about our passing game, per se, since we have 3 TE's who are basically un-coverable. They present more matchup problems than Andre and that's why they're getting more targets than Andre.

Andre has a bad game last night against a mid to top-tier CB who was totally committed to stopping him. I get the feeling Rex just told whatever-his-name-is to just blanket Andre on every play. That's your only responsibility tonight. And that's just what he did.

That was just a great game by Cromartie. Props where props are due.

Everyone looked pretty damn coverable last night in the 2nd half. When we needed 3rd down conversions, receivers weren't open. Schaub had the time...no one was open. That concerns me a bit. I'm not pulling out my hair over it, but I'm not thrilled with it either.

The Jets disguised coverage like crazy. Walter and Daniels and Casey were tearing them up when they sent more than 4 guys, so Ryan went zone and put a stop to it. If Matt had any wheels at all, he gets at least 3 first downs rushing the ball last night. Sadly, that is a huge weakness when teams do that to us.

not worried. The texans don't have to rely on him like they used to. I wish he would get more stats just because I want him to get the recognition, but I'm not really worried about him being able to step up when he is actually needed.

Like Donny said, the Jets made some good adjustments at halftime. Don't forget that they're a pretty damn good defense even without Revis. Cromartie played out of his mind last night. Sometimes you just have to give the opposing defense credit instead of blaming the offense (not that you're blaming the offense).

It's very enjoyable to me how far we've come as Texan fans. We are now dissecting our problems during wins when just a few short years ago we were trying to draw moral victories from losses.

I"m with you 100%. I'm not trying to be a Debbie Downer....but if you ask me if I'm at least a bit concerned about our WR1 having roughly 5 catches over the last few games. Particularly when you consider the gap in talent between WR1 and WR2.

This is one of the problems with sports or any skilled career with a following. You have to deal with a lot of gimps who think their opinions count. "I watch the game, I post 24/7 on the internet, I know what's coming."

As a European Rugby champion, I know all about the wear and tear that goes on and the uncertainty there is in getting back to 100%.

As a life champion, I know all about excellence. None of you have it. But Andre... Andre knows when to shine and when to get his. He's not past his prime, and despite having a below average QB in Matt Schwab, he's going to continue to be a prime time player.

Mark my words. When it counts. When Mark Santos isn't on the other side throwing the game away, Andre will step up. The Texans just need to replace Schwab with a QB who can improvize and not use Kubiak's system to pad his stats into being a top 15 QB... "statistically".

    Real eyes, recognize, real guys.

I noticed Dre' is not getting in many snaps as he usually does. He will leave 2-3 times out of a drive.

I think Kubes wants to conserve him for the playoffs which could be better for us in the end.

Dre' should be the last person we are worried about. :)
