My reply still applies. You're being extremely arrogant when it comes to your knowledge of Lin. If you're a big fan of his, then obviously you're going to know more than the average fan, but does that mean you have to put people down over it? It's like talking trash to someone because you know so much more about your job than they do. What else do you expect? You're really going to get off on that? Really? I have to pretend, why? To impress a random guy on the net? We're not stuck on some remote island with no connection to the world. It's foolish to assume posters here didn't follow Lin last season. That may work on another team's board, but both Houston and Golden State fans were quick to read up on the guy their teams missed out on. We were A LOT more likely to click on a Lin link that fans of other teams. I made a careless mistake early in this thread, but i was aware of the exaggeration and didn't expect more than to be corrected. It only blew up because of the influx of Lin fans entering the board at the time. You wrote he would become the best player on his teams, not that he just excelled, which are two different things. So far, he's excelled throughout his whole career, but he hasn't been the best player on every team he's been on (because it would include the NBA). Eating crow over what, the bolded comments? You're not going to prove that with just his play this season, as it involves a comparison to other players, past and present.
Me arrogant? FYI, I've been coming here since July but didn't bother to register until a few days ago because I finally had had it with the likes of apollo ("I f'ing hate you Lin fans") and even you. Weren't you going on about how poor Lin's defensive skills were, when any one remotely familiar with his history knows that defence buttered his bread at GS. Apparently, you aren't one of those who "were quick to read up on the guy their teams missed out on". It's beyond moronic to utter lies that are instantly outed when you contradict yourself right away. But then, liars lie because they can't help themselves, I suppose. Some Lin fans are here to keep folks like you honest. And feel free to correct us if we're wrong. But don't ever pretend to know Lin better than we do, or else expect a backlash. I don't even understand why you supposed old-timers keep bellyaching about the influx of Lin fans. What else did you expect after Morey poached Lin with that poison pill of a contract? Fact is, Lin's following eclipses Houston's fanbase by several orders of magnitude. You can't milk the guy's global appeal (it's sickening how he's being exploited like he was the highest paid member of the team; where's Asik in all this marketing blitz, FFS?) without at the same time accommodating some of the very people accounting for the marketability that's enriching the franchise in multiple ways and helping to facilitate its rebuilding efforts. Imagine how much better Les Alexander must feel about letting the team take their time to grow together. Something to keep in mind the next time you feel like getting uppity with us: it's Lin fans who are doing you a favor, not the other way around. Personally, I'm fine when Lin doubters/haters question the wisdom of his contract, because, of course, it's on him to prove he's worth it on the court. What's not fine with me is when his defenders put up evidentiary stats, examples and footage to counter the criticisms, and Lin detractors like you then double down on your stupidity and start to fling all kinds of poo at them. Try to be civil the next time you address me; you'll be pleasantly surprised at my response. Or don't, because it doesn't really bother me one way or the other. Hellooooo? Go back and re-read what I wrote. Of course, Lin wasn't the best player of any team right from day one. In fact, at Palo Alto he was kicked off his team at one point because he was "uncoachable". But he always managed to become the best after a while at every level that he played at. You know what happened in his rookie year - never really given a chance by GS and Houston, then so overused in NY that he sustained the first major injury of his career. Even then, you could see (if you were really following his progress) that he was improving with virtually every game. I'm betting that he will become the Rockets' best player by year 3. And then, G-d willing, he joins Dallas or the Lakers. Didn't you predict in your last post that he would fall back to earth or something? I'm betting he won't. Like I said, one of us had better learn to like the taste of crow.
Anyone else think this guy is actually a LOH who made this account just to troll us? Everything from his name to all his posts screams a LOH trying to troll as much as possible. 1) Who makes a user name like that. 2) Who actually talks like this. For serious.
You wrote: Then i wrote: What exactly do i need to read again? You changed your comment to include "from the start." All i did was repeat the statement you initially made. You're not even sure who you're talking to. I never talked about how bad he was defensively, except for mentioning it was part of his scouting report out of college, which mainly applied to his lateral speed. You're giving Lin fans a bad rep. All your knowledge is useless if you're going to focus on putting posters down and talk yourself up. If you can "write a thesis" on things we don't know about Lin, then go ahead and write it. Post it to share with the board, rather than just being a pain in the ass. Lin fans doing us a favor? This team and site were here well before Lin and will be here well after him. You've "enriched" the franchise for a summer, while we've got decades put into this team.
That would mean a big portion of this thread is you arguing with yourself with 2 different personalities. Maybe you should see a shrink? Or just run with it and turn it into a traveling act somehow.
maybe i created king boo too so i can argue with 2 people maybe i created every LOF account just to argue with 100 people on cf
Maybe this entire site is entirely made up by you, hashing it out with the 500 different personalities raging inside you.

So, this guy has hated every single Asian that has ever played for the Rockets. Could he be any more obvious with his racism?!
Great articles, you can tell a lot of research went into them. I've always said if Lin were a black top-3 pick that put up the same exact numbers he did last season, there'd be none of this crap about "is he for real?". But because he was undrafted and Asian....
My opinion, was that 26 games wasn't enough for me to believe he'd keep it up. It doesn't mean i dont think he won't. It just means i want to see more. That's very different from closing the door on him and declaring him a fluke. It seems like you either have to be 100% behind him or not, if you're not the full 100%, people are quick to assume you hate him or think he's a fluke. I've never done or said either. He's too young and inexperienced (both of which are facts, not hate) to make a final judgment on him. I remember you being a being a hater of newborn puppies and anything generally thought of as being cute, so it must be true!
2012 account, talking about another poster hating on Yao How many times have you been banned, reveal your previous accounts.
He doesnt have any previous accounts. He's new and trying to paint me as a racist to discredit me as a poster.
