I actually understand the apprehension. It is a conditioned response. The Texans haven't performed well on a national stage or against the Jets. Even as good as they are now, they can still lose. It's the NFL, everybody's good. Turnovers could sink the Texan's ship; otherwise, they should win. If they take care of the ball and don't make stupid mistakes like the Eagles did yesterday, they should be fine. Could Sanchez have a career game? It's possible. Can't the Jet's defense play out of their minds. Maybe. Will the Jet's put up 200 rushing yards. There is a chance. But I am guessing they are going to get beat. We will soon see.

 

Who cares if they lose tomorrow. Losing tomorrow doesn't change anything. It doesn't automatically make the Falcons the "team to beat" necessarily. IT doesn't mean the Texans are who we thought they were. This team will lose some games this year, but this isn't college football; you can lose games. All the Texans need to focus on is home field advantage. If they get that being 16-0 or 11-5, it doesn't matter.

There are no doubt some fans that are thinking such but most have seen this season we are loaded with talent in all areas of the field (save special teams and MAYBE the right side of the offensive line).

We are the most complete team in the AFC and potentially the entire NFL. No team in our division is capable of taking the division unless we have horrible string of injuries. The Jets is one game and they are wounded so, the idea of them losing will only be if they play down to their level or underestimate NY which most players seem to have mentioned and be aware of this past week when asked.

The history of bad play might be something that still hangs within the memory of some but you can't compare the failures of this team to the past ones where coaching now works towards our advantage and the talent is off the scale.

 

Let go of the past. This is not the same team.

No Houston team had started 4-0 in Houston football history until the Texans.

Yup, you were spot on OP. Texans only won because of Mark Santos - the worst QB in the league. He can thank affirmative action for still having a roster spot.

You gotta give credit where it's due - a great defense led by JJ Watt saved Schwab once again. Until Shwab is replaced by a QB who can improvise - the defense will be the ones giving get-out-of-jail-free cards to an offense that wastes countless opportunities.

He JUST doesn't have killer instinct or an ability to read defenses. The passing is so simple and childlike - the Texans can replace him with an athletic QB who can move outside his zone of comfort (AKA the pocket) in addition to throwing a bunch of 5 yarders.

It's so easy... a caveman could do it (Mark Leinart).
