It's garbage for most markets, but the Presidential election has enough depth though it might take a day or two to scale into a large position and you also need to hit the large blocks that are posted in the order book from time to time.

Did someone really give you a hard time about that? Give me a break! I know plenty of highly educated, intelligent, successful people who don't have that sheepskin on the wall. While I grew up surrounded by educators, they didn't come from privilege, with my father being the first member of his family, that anyone is aware of, to get a degree, and then only because he served during WWII and was able to go to college under that government program, the GI Bill. He ended up a highly successful university professor, department chair, and highly paid, world traveling consultant. Not too shabby for a guy who could only dream of college before the war. I've always thought that dismissing someone's arguments based on their level of education, and not their level of knowledge, amounts to a cheap shot, and a lazy way to argue an issue, in my opinion.

Agree with basso for once. Going after that wingbat for her education level was a cheap shot and lazy, considering her lack of knowledge.

Though in Palin's case, her arguments weren't dismissed due to level of her education...

note: this was intended to respond to the post about Palin...

Appreciate your comments, Deck. Actually, I'll admit I'm not that educated and take my lumps because of it with grace....most times.

But I'm old school and terms like racist and bigot really mean something and not said as easily as it is today. I also have a long history with black America and have taken my lumps for Mexicans. Hell, I don't even look white. Put a cowboy hat on me and the first thing you'll want to say to me is que pa sa.

I'm not leaving because these terms were used against me, per se, but how easily people here accuse each other of being a racist/bigot. It is just so very sad. And I don’t see it getting better.

I've been here for over 15 years but it has really gotten bad during the past 5. Times are different, and I understand that, but I'm not ready for this particular change.

If I was a replicant like you I might have thicker skin :p, but I don’t so I bid you and most here adieu.

But you see, Sarah would have been one septegenarian's heartbeat away from the Presidency, so her level of intelligence (very low) is important, so, why post a picture of her here?

I knew Obama's incompetence in the debate would hurt him badly. Two more debates like this and the election is over.

It bothers me too, how easily people can throw around accusations of racism, seemingly not realizing just how insulting an accusation that is. It is just about the fastest way to shut down a conversation, because it means your accuser won't listen to any argument you can make, but will instead assign you hidden motives.

I'm on both sides of the issue. I do think this is a problem, and agree with you on the result. But I think a bigger problem is how people say racist things, and then when called out on it being racist they claim that other people are just too "P.C." these days. For the record I'm accusing that of happening here, but I'm speaking in general.

I hate it, because I hate PC, and I'm incredibly anti-PC. I'm more against racism however. One of the worst kinds of racism and probably most prevalent is when people aren't aware they're saying something or behaving in a racist manner.
