A very frustrating game to watch. The first drive was a thing of beauty, but then the wheels seemed to come off. We gave the Jets every chance to win, but JJ and Kareem were the difference. It is amazing how a defensive lineman can affect a game like that. Cushing on crutches and a leg brace; doesn't look good. Arian looked good. Both the Jet's defensive and offensive lines played better than most team's we have played.

    Kareem Jackson:

In the end, we were able to make a play. Great call by Coach Wade.

We strive on making plays. Someone has to make plays. Tipped balls or picks, whatever the case may be, we preach and practice it all week.

Brice will hear from me(about not scoring). He brags about his speed, says he's the fastest in the DB room.

Tough for us to lose Cush. He's the heart and soul of the D. We know what we get from him every Sunday. We'll wait until tomorrow and see and hope/pray for the best.

Next man gotta step in and we gotta keep going.

Big win for us. 5-0 is big for us, we gotta go back, look at film, we know there are things we could do better, go to next week and go 1-0.

He does a good job of fielding punts. He calls for a fair catch when appropriate, and sees the catch through. He does a good job of calling teammates off the ball if he's letting it go. Two poor kickoff returns aside, I don't see a viable replacement on our roster at this point. I don't want to risk Manning, and Shiloh Keo is a disaster waiting to happen. Maybe Forsett? But at the rate we go through RBs, that might not be smart either.

Oh how nice it would be to have Jacoby fielding kicks.

I dont like how the players and coaches have talked about Cushing...my guess is that its going to be a bad situation.

Always good to perform well on MNF but it was a team effort and a good win for our club.

When you perform well, when your team calls on you, that's what it's all about. Privilege to play in this league and when they call on you, you have to step up.

We don't know the extent for Cush. I just told him I got mad love for him. He plays with so much passion. He deserves to be recognized as one of the best in the game but to have an injury that puts him out is tough. Hopefully he'll be back.

(On 5-0 start): We still have 11 games left. A lot of things can happen. A lot of work to put in. A quick turnaround with a good football team coming in. We have to go right back to work.

Guys stepped up and made plays when it counted. Secondary continues to play great in key moments and we're getting it done up front.

We expect an A-game every week from other teams. We get gashed but we're good at adjusting it before it gets out of hand.

I didn't say anything to Cush. He was looking sad. I feel for him. He's a warrior. Just like last year, we had key guys go down and guys step up. No different this year. Unfortunate to happen to Brian. Hard to replace but we'll get the job done.

Next guy up has to play just as hard. We'll get the job done.

Last week he let two punts go that ended up being downed near the goal-line. That pissed Kubiak off.

His performance tonight also pissed him off (see above).

We are getting NOTHING in the return game. There needs to be a change.

I think Holiday is done. What a great preseason; what a crappy regular season. I think we have seen the last of him.

If Holliday gets cut, Manning will return kicks and Forsett will return punts. Bank on it.

I don't get it. It's like people dislike the Houston Texans being relevant at all. No one tries it on San Francisco or any other teams. But as soon as they see Texans doing well "We must take out one of their players".

Surely they have done an x ray on Cushing; they must know something.

I was hoping for a blowout and to have everyone gushing over the texans but, as the saying goes , this is the nfl and given a MNF game on the road it's not completely ridiculous that the home field played tough. Really, if you take a step back from it all, you would expect a close game.

Texans jumped out early and they may have got a little complacent given their early success. The return TD made it much closer than it seemed.

That being said, it was a texans style game. They controlled the game and made plays when it mattered.

This is the texan's game. They had a lead, played conservative and won. Funny because I felt that the texans didnt really showed all they had

It was clear that Kubes pulled back and played conservative. I'm fine with that given the opponent because they just were not a big threat to come back and put big points on the board.

It seems like Cush will be out a while but hopefully Sharpton can be ready to go and let's hope Cush will be back in a few weeks. I have faith in Sharpton and who knows...maybe Mercilous can throw a wrench in the mix. Regardless, ILB will be a hot commodity going forward.

Darryl Sharpton can be back in by the Raven game. That will help ILB depth.
