i'm actually worried about AJ. he must be a step slower cause he's been a non-factor through 90% of the last few games.
He muffed twice and picked them up. It's a hold-your-breath moment every time the ball is kicked to him...and not in the good way.
Wade: We don't know the final result on Cush. We'll wait and see what happens. I didn't see the play, just saw him on the ground. We play for each other all the time. Hate to see those things happen but rest of the guys played well and I'm proud of them. I don't think we bend much. They scored 10 points on the D. We made plays. That's what this D does. 5-0, now what? You try to go 6-0 now. Enjoy this one but not very long. Start on GB tomorrow. A young team but pretty focused.
But you'll say the niners - who looked pretty damned pedestrian in a LOSS to the Vikings are? Once again, get outta here. Last I checked no team has won a title in the 5th week of the season. Unless you honestly think this game is going to be indicative of the rest of our season then all this WIN does is show that we have some things to work on... You know, like EVERY OTHER TEAM IN THE LEAGUE. Luckily for us our deficiencies are minimal which in turn makes us one of the best teams in the league.
obviously the embarrassed remark was a knee-jerk reaction. I'm happy with the W but we looked like **** tonight, as well all know.

Guess that's because this isn't a Ravens board? Go check out ravenfans.net or whatever site they have. I'm sure it's in meltdown mode over that stinker they laid in KC.
Maybe he's slower on turf? Cromartie is a legit #1 out there. I think AJ has a good game next week. Can't wait.
Anyone see the local pre game show? That reporter chick actually predicted a 21-18 games, IIRC. Everyone kind of laughed it off
watching CSN's live coverage, and they are interviewing Ben Tate. Their PR people need to coach up Ben Tate. Worst interview ever. Nice one line answer. Good job by the reporter to force him to talk.
If the special teams play just a little bit better then the Jets probably have one less score and maybe we get an extra score with better starting field position. Then it's at least a 23-10 win and maybe we're not so upset. What sucks for the defense is that special teams TD's count against them. That's 2 TD's this year that have been hung on the defense.
Good win tonight! Not great but good. We need to be tested. We need to be under pressure to see how well we perform. 5-0 I'm losing hope that Holliday will ever show up for us this season. I wouldn't mind shuffling Martin back there here and there. Maybe Holliday needs some added motivation.
One maybe positive is Kubiak finally realizes he needs to really do something to the special teams personnel...
Ben Tate: I wasn't 100%. A couple more days(to get to 100%). O-line did one of the best jobs this year running blocking wise. They gave Arian room to run. Offense an 8 on a scale of 1-10. We had opportunities to put them away and we didn't. Tough. A lot more things we can do better. Putting teams away not a concern. We can put teams away. Tonight we didn't. Great teams do that every time. 5-0, we just need to keep doing what we do. Brice McCain: INT, I got tired. I was ready for someone to carry me to the endzone. I'll hear it from the guys. We left some plays out there(secondary did) but we came away with a victory. Bad to see Cush lost but we had a game to win. He knew that. Next man gotta step up. Cush will work his butt off to get back. Next man up, pick up production. Told him(Cush) to keep on grinding. Celebrate tonight and that's it. Come in tomorrow, watch film, and get ready for GB. Wade does a great job preparing us.
What the hell does this mean? He clearly bobbled TWO kickoff returns that led to him being slow out of the end zone (and getting stopped before the 20). If you were impressed by his ability to fair catch punts (instead of letting them bounce like he did last week), then I don't have much more to say. Holiday is just not good. He's had 5 weeks to show just a semblance of something and he hasn't. A slower, but more talented returner in Manning would put up better yardage in his sleep.
