You know, just watching the highlights on NFL Network, he caused two more big time incompletions by just jumping... one was the 3rd and goal incomplete pass Sanchez tried to hit the TE in the back of the endzone, and that long pass incompletion to Cromartie where he jumped and made Sanchez hold the ball, have to slide over and changed the passing angle. The guy is amazing and in only his second freaking year! And he got robbed on another sack. Sanchez was down or, if anything, that was intentional grounding. Either way he gets awarded a sack. Crazy thing is, not only he is a monster in only his second season... but he makes huge plays at huge moments.
Ugh, previous post was in wrong thread. Sorry. As for JJ, he got a sack tonight so that's an extra million added to his signing bonus.
Gruden made a great point tonight. JJ Watt singlehandedly affected 13 points in this game. Well within the margin of victory. He was our Olajuwon out there. Simply did it all.
We'll need all we can get from Watt if Cushing is out. I think we're getting spoiled with Watt's play. He's ridic.
Within that margin of error, I'm disappointed how much one freakishly good athlete saved the game for us. For basketball, that can work; for football, you don't usually see one player have such an impact. Watt has replaced Andre and Arian as the face of our franchise. A lot of my friends around the country who watched the game didn't see the balanced team the Texans were hyped to be. They only saw 3 consistent players with Watt, Foster, and Casey. A W is a W, but I want the Texans who can play offense to return home for GB.
Yeah, I've been pretty impressed with Reed so far this season. Was expecting a drop off from him. Kind of similar to what we are seeing from Barwin.
Probably already posted, but this is the first time I've seen this gem of an article from draft day 2011. http://houston.culturemap.com/newsd...51251044031093":"og.likes"}&action_ref_map=[]
That was very annoying to read...even the posters here that didnt like the draft pick werent this clueless. That article is a keeper. Nice find.
damn glad we took the pizza boy. I remember following him back at Wisconsin and he was a beast back then. Don't know if he can keep this pace up but he's already a legend here in Houston and I hope he's here to stay.
