Because he can't guard 3's, but he can guard 4's.

He lacks height and athleticism and he's not exactly a Chuck Hayes on interior D either. He won't be able to guard NBA 4s.

If he lacks athleticism, then how would guarding 3's be a better idea?

I actually think he will play his best defence against NBA 4's.

His best to be played at 4 or occasional 5.... coming off the bench

He needs to be defending under the basket

his post defending and rebounding...are his strengths...

when he gets the rebound he will lead the fast break and break down the defences as point guard...

He needs the ball in his hands in offence....as much as possible...

He was a turnover machine in college, and with ball in his hands as much as possible, he will lead the NBA in TO's!
Only area he was elite was in TOPG @3.8/game. Why dont you mention that?
    Stop the hype dude!

OTOH, why would you mention his only negative in college vs. the other 5 positive aspects of his game. Turnovers can be corrected. White coming in as a known rebounder, passer currently outweighs that one negative.

Oh my! He's smart like Lin and a TO prone like Lin. He be living in Lin's shadows this upcoming season, no wonder he went with the bus drama. This dude, is gonna bust, lol.

I just don't see this ending well. He's not going to be able to take the bus to brooklyn. Is he going to hitchhike to charlotte?

When someone listed the strengths, it's only fair to lits his weaknesses.

^3.8 topg for a PF is a clear indication that this spells disastrous. If he didn't post this, I wouldnt remind him how Royce was TO-prone in college. He is not a good ball handler!

Nash and Rondo/ Lin are high turnover machines as well !!!!!!

high turnover does not mean bad player as they are attacking passing points

LOL @your comparison. You are not seriously comparing ball dominant PG's to a PF?? All those PG's actually play at NBA level.

What's so funny? Royce is considered a point forward who was ball dominant in college. That's what he is known to be successful for.
