You know, we really needed a close game. it is a reality check that we will not beat teams by twenty each week. Their were not as focused this game. It was the game our team needed to have to overcome.
Honestly, he just kept falling down. It was obvious he was so not used to that kind of field surface. All of our games have been on grass so far.
this was a great game to test our depth -no tate -lost cushing early So long as we are healthy come playoff time I'm happy with our progress as a team. This was a good quality win on the road in adverse conditions.
Joseph also has a groin issue. You could see him pull up a few times so as to not aggravate it further. He needs to take time off this week to heal up for Rodgers and the Pack.
Special teams on Kickoffs have been terrible both on defense and returns...an Alert play by 31 saved an onside recovery...
It looked like Keo had no idea where the ball was. It looked like he honestly got amazingly lucky that the ball fell out of the Jet players hands and landed underneath him. The special teams were awful top to bottom.
I'm not saying he played well but he did fall down on that long play. S*** happens. The great thing about this game is that they have the ability to not play their best and still come away with a win on the road. Much went wrong tonight. The passing game wasn't great after the first series. Special teams is pathetic and is definitely the weakness of this team. Piss poor returns. Piss poor coverage. Penalties. Nearly gave away an on-sides kick. Said it earlier...the Texans have not been good on special teams...ever. What is the one constant since the inception of the team? Joe Marciano. It's time for him to go. JJ Watt isn't the DPOY. He is the MVP of the league.
Marciano is here for life. If he hasn't been fired in 10 1/2 seasons, he's not going to get fired now. Never mind that our special teams have been consistently mediocre or worse in his tenure. McNair forced the Wade hire, he may need to step in and force Kubes to replace Marciano.
