After the whole Spongebob thing I switched to AT&T. Just as long as they don't mess with Regular Show and Adventure Time i'm cool with AT&T.
No way would I ever consider switching back to Comcast from U-Verse. The whole thing with CSN makes me madder than ever at Comcast.
Yeah, I agree with this. I would really like to be able to see the Rockets games, but I am not switching cable providers again just for that. U-verse has been good, especially after having been with Comcast for a number of years before that. Comcast is just not an acceptable option.
Okay this board has convinced me to not make the switch to comcast.. I will be with you guys on game day streaming online la resistance!!!! Firstrowsports it is.... ****!!!!!
I hated Comcast the last time I had it. I have a few issues with Uverse, but they're nowhere near what I had to go through with Comcast. Those F**kers would routinely come through my neighborhood and cut my cable thinking I was stealing cable. I'd have to call and complain and it'd take them 2-3 days to send somebody back to reconnect it. They always said they'd make a note in their records and even a note one the box or whatever where they cut the cable. Didn't matter. 4 months later they'd cut it again. That's not to mention the crappy signal and their refusal to update any hardware. I might've been the last Time Warner/Comcast customer in Houston using the old analog set top boxes because they wouldn't give me a digital receiver unless I was a new customer. I love the Rockets but I'm not going back to that *****. If Rockets viewship drops, it's their own damned fault. The day Uverse became available in my area was a glorious day.
CSN is great! The quality is much better than FSH! It feels like I'm watching a sportscenter built just for the city of Houston. It looks really good.
ive been a rockets fan for 20 years, im not switching to comcast. i just made the switch to directv and had everything installed here. im not a kneejerk type of person, i will wait until they will get a deal worked out.. im much more pleased with the directv service over comcast even though i had time warner/comcast/xfinity for 15+years.CSN is also an NBC network, no way they restrict it to one provider, seeing as how most providers offer csn philly/chi/ne already.. if any of you need a link to download games then PM me i will share a trusty one ive used for texans games for 2-3 years now..
I am in the Beaumont area and have Time Warner so I guess I don't have any options at all to watch the games. I guess if the Rockets don't care about their fans anymore, there's no point in caring about them. At least the Texans are good and they are still available to everyone.
I'm switching to Comcast Xfinity the Digital Premier package next week. Is Comcast really as bad as y'all are saying? What's there problem?
I'd rather spend money on NBA League pass then to switch up on Comcast again, FOCK EM!!!! I'll just stream the games, Uverse has been good to me...
The NFL doesn't have local broadcast. All their games air on network tv (except monday night) AFC airs on CBS NFC airs on FOX. They have a different television package rights deal than the NBA and other sports, so they will always be on television no matter what, unless a home game doesn't get sold out.
Just calm down, people. No need to get your cable wires in a twist just because negotiations are ongoing. Even if it's at the 11th hour I guarantee you all major cable providers will have the Rockets games by the end of the first week of the season. Personally I have Uverse and have never had problems. Comcast was just way too expensive when I was living with two others and splitting all the services three ways. I pay less now living alone than I did back then.
Have DirecTV here in the hill country. Will have to wait for a deal to be reached between DirecTV & csn. Y'all make your game threads interesting now, hear!
No voting option for DirecTv? I switched from Comcast to DirecTv. No way in hell am I going back to Comcast! The way they seemed to value me as a paying customer with legitimate issues they would never resolve showed what I was worth to them. I have faith DirecTv will strike a deal with CSN Houston. Les Alexander knows the advertising revenue loss he would take if this doesn't go thru.
I just placed my Dish account on hold and added Comcast with no contract. I will cancel Comcast and turn Dish back on when they come to terms with AMC and CSN. Dish allowed me to suspend my current account up to 6 months with a monthly charge of just under $6. I think this is the best solution for Die-Hard Rockets fan who just can’t miss a minute of the action. CSN is awesome! As previously mentioned, it’s like Sports Center dedicated to just our local sport teams.
My words EXACTLY! No way I'm leaving Uverse. AT&T picked up the Longhorn Network, so now they need to pick CSN up so us customers can watch the Rockets. Do we all need to start calling and demanding for CSN? Maybe that could help...
