Just got back from watching this. I thought it was really good. I'd give it an 8/10. Daniel Craig plays the part really well. Javier Bardem really brings it and gives a really good performance as well. Bond girls were meh.
I don't know if Lea Michelle is from that ******* signing show or whatever but clip over. References <> humor.
This was a more character driven Bond film. The action scenes were good, but not really, really good. Bardem's character was psychotic, but maybe played a little too over the top for my taste. I want to know when they're going to finish the story they had going with Casino Royale and QOS.
Weird that I haven't heard one good review from all the people I know that went to see it. I might just DVD it.
weird, i've only heard good things. And 93% on RT is pretty impressive. Maybe the people you know have bad taste
I'll probably have to wait until next weekend to see it, so I will stay out of this thread in the meantime. From what I've heard, this will be better than the last two Bonds. And I enjoyed Casino Royale (never saw Quantom of Solace... still don't want to).
Casino Royale is miles ahead of QOS and Skyfall. Casino Royale had the perfect mixture of story and action without being boring or over the top....and let's not forget Eva Green: Spoiler
I definitely agree with you. I think Skyfall is a good movie and I would recommend it to everybody who hasn't watched it yet, but Casino Royale was, in my opinion, the best Bond ever.
I shouldn't have watched it at midnight..i was falling asleep. It was so long. Some very good moments, but overall jsut wasn't the kind of movie to watch buzzed and late. I really enjoyed it, but I seem to be in the minority. The first time i watched it, I wasn't that big of a fan but later I watched casino royale and the Quantum again and I liked it a lot more. The 2 movies flow into one another. I didn't expect that going into the movie so I was a bit confused at times because I hadn't seen Casino is so long at the time.
Overall the Bond movies are just not that good...watched the Connery ones and they were so boring...i guess they were great at the time? The only really good one that i can and have watched many times is Casino Royale.
