Yeah, it would have been nice to see someone like Maurice Greene (0-10m: 1.69s, 10-20m: 1.00s) on that chart. I loved watching that guy back in the 90s. Good point. However, even penetrating the defense has relative importance without either finishing or finding an open man. But for sure it's fun to watch .
This i noticed too. He is not mr. Clutch or something, he just wants to win. If that means getting more points by himself, that he'll do. Other teams noticing this trend will soon likely lock him up on the 4th. This is where we need extra ball handlers on the court like R. White.
Here's an interview on Kirk Lacob, GM of Santa Cruz on D- League ( if i'm not mistaken golden states d league affliate) .Some part of his interview he mentioned Lin. http://www.goldenstateofmind.com/2012/9/27/3416180/santa-cruz-warriors-d-league-kirk-lacob-jeremy-lin
That competitive b*stard . But seriously, I'm excited to see J-Lin play. I am one of the people who feels that he is going to be a BOSS.
Hello, CF community! I've come here b/c TDS pretty dead... Just registered today to get ready for the bball season. Really excited to watch Linsanity 2013 unfolds in H-town. In Paris on assignment right now. But got league pass and can't wait to watch Rockets vs OKC in preseason opener.
Almost a month away...I really dont know what Houston Rockets 2012-2013 season has in store for its fans. Throughout this tumultuous off-season, I like many others were hoping that the Rockets could find a way to get out of a rut. The Rockets were just "held in pause" for the past 3 seasons and getting the most enviable lottery pick: 14. While all the jockeying and shuffling turned out to be for naught, I do believe that the Rockets were better than they were last season. They finally have an identity. No one expects anything for the Rockets, and often times, that is when we see our team flourish. After all the wheeling and dealing, Kevin Martin still is on our team. The guy that everyone thought would already be shipped for a pack of skittles. Yet, he is still here. This season can be of promise or epic failure. Can the rookie draft picks prove to the league and the the Orlando Magic, that they really messed it up? Can Lin get away from the NY glare, and be a consistent, productive NBA PG? Do Chandler Parsons, and Patrick Patterson show us that they have gotten better? Will Omer Asik prove that statisticians and geeks can effectively predict the efficiency of an athelete before he ever logs serious minutes in the NBA? Is our Euro sensation, Donatas Montejunas, the next Luis Scola or the next VSpan? This city, this team desperately needs some luck. The Rockets had fools gold with Yao and TMAC, and it has crippled the franchise and put the Rockets in its current predicament. The Rockets need one of these players to be a star in the worst way possible. If it can happen for the Texans, I am sure that it can and will happen for the Rockets. Good luck in the upcoming season, and go ROCKETS!
JLin's passes I tend to agree that JLin sometimes makes "lazy" passes, but some of the TOs can be attributed to Knicks' other players who failed to catch them. If JLin can improve his jump shots, that will complement his attacking the rim. But he really has to cut down on his "lazy" passes that lead to TOs. I mean all PGs will have TOs when they attack and try to create good shots, and I call these good TOs, but he needs to cut down on dumb TOs that result from his not seeing what other players are doing.
<iframe width="420" height="315" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/UyOG1MWRKVE" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe> Watch Lin how he defended a miss-match at 00:35 I think saying he's a poor defender is really not a fair statement.
How many players in NBA history can command the loyalty of an enemy building? Only a handful of legends have ever done that. This kid's got ice water in his veins. If he can learn to dial it down and become a more cerebral player rather than an all out attacking player, he could truly become a special player in this assoc.
That only happened because he was Asian and a good player, and it was Toronto. The entire Markham showed up to the ACC lol My room mates went to the game, most of the people aren't even Raptors fans or even watch basketball in general. I hope he does something crazy again in Toronto this year, I will look forward to trolololoing some Raptor fans at ACC
