basso said earlier (I saw the quote) that you could "book" a Romney win. I offered him a bet, which he apparently doesn't want to make. I won't start a thread for a year after the election and will even take him off ignore (his threads in D&D are why he's there... I have no problem with him otherwise), if he'll agree not to start a thread for a year after the election if Romney loses. basso must be afraid of a Romney loss!

Considering Basso has no credibility nor recourse, I don't see any reason why he shouldn't take the bet. It's like win-win if he does.
Basso must be happy, for a week all his fellow right wing nuts had abandoned him, now they are storming back! Got to love what a little hope can do!
just in time to talk theories why the unemployment rate is 7.8% poor guys cant win. gay people are even starting to be able to get married. world is crashing down.
Have not seen your bet offer. That said, Romney will win; as you know, i've been confiident of such for some time, well before the debate.
That's not at all what I'm asking him to do. Here's what I offered on page 101 of this thread: Since you quoted him, I saw basso's post. So I'm wondering... what is supposed to be booked? basso stops starting threads for a year if Romney loses? I'll make that bet with him. If Romney wins, I won't start a thread for a year. If Obama wins, basso doesn't start a thread for a year after the election, and I'll include taking him off ignore for the same period, just for the heck of it. And I won't really take him off ignore "for the heck of it," but rather because his threads in D&D are why I have him on ignore. The bet offer stands. And I'm just talking about threads in this forum, although if he wants to make it all forums, I'm fine with that.

I believe Romney is going to win too. And I suspect that it is not going to be a particularly close race, current media insistence to the contrary notwithstanding.
a first step, if you want to discuss something, or make a challenge like a bet, is to do so directly, not through an intermediary.
