keep in mind the bus could be waiting for him in one 'away' city to take him to the next one. Phoenix - LA, or Chicago-Sota, or Toronto-NY, or SLC-Denver, some of those trips are manageable with an all-nighter, depending on practice / shootarounds schedule.

What about OCD? I think this is the reason he's been talking about his OCD in recent interviews.

Yes, there are a few that will work that way. But not a "large part" that will.

The rockets are never truthful about what is happening. They have always lied about injuries and things like this.

Portland with game in denver next day lol.

Including the pre season and assuming that there is a bus waiting for him at the visiting city, there is about 45 games that would allow him to ride a bus. Just because there is a home game, it's not automatic that he can drive there.

So how is a crazy bus schedule switching to plane and switching to bus again deal going to be building a consistent structure, as opposed to just sticking with his team mates? This just doesn't sound consistent with his reasoning...

Furthermore it doesn't explain why he could practice and why he can't make it until Monday. I smell something fishy.

For those who think some Rockets players might join him on his bus, don't expect it. I can't imagine that liability issues and the disruption it would cause to team cohesion will allow it. In my opinion, at any rate.

It's not. It's BS. It's avoidance behavior that only a rich athlete can get away with. He's afraid of planes so is trying to avoid them as much as possible. I think he is doing a disservice to people with mental health problems because he is talking about this as a legitimate way to take care of his mental health when it is really avoidance behavior that may prevent him from overcoming his anxieties.

This thing with the bus sounds like it would increase anxiety .. Always on the edge about scheduling, will I make it ,will the bus show up ,weather, traffic,on and on.The problems that could arise are endless.Lot easier to just chill on a plane for an hour or so and you're done.

Also the cost will be enormous. When those bills start rolling in he might decide flying ain't so bad after all. You're talking about keeping a bus on the road about 8 months, full time following you around.. Fuel, maintenance, hiring drivers that would have to basically live with the bus, fees and permits, insurance,it will add up to be quite a bit.

based on his lack of a jumpshot, sketchy defense, and our crowded roster at his position....he most likely ends up in the rio grande d-league anyways

This. White just bought himself a ticket to the RGV, "to work on his shooting, defense, and adjusting to the NBA game". Morey will move him in a deal within a year & sell it as a value move that will benefit the Rox long term.

If so, he's just having a normal panick. No, we are talking about serious illness. Even if somebody pay for all that and give him a billion dollars on top of it, the panick attacks would still destroy him mentally and phsically according to what's described.

In a strange twist of evens my barber is Royce White's cousin. He told me that he has always been that way and that he and his grandfather had to drive him to the elite 8. My barber also cuts jacoby jones ray lewis and one other raven players hair.

Of course if billion dollars were at stake, he would find a way to cope with it even it meant suffering serious attack and risking his mental health. Because apparently he's already put his health at risk (having to fly to some games and having such an unstable working environment) because of that multi million nba contract.

What the heck is THIS crap...?

Someone's afraid to fly... so they let him NOT fly...?

First time I hear about something like this.

    Baloney. Grow up.

I think he's just trying his best and see what happens. For whatever reason(contract, love for basketball, fame, experience...) he choose to join the NBA. Now that the schedule is fixed, he requested bus to minimize the risks along with consistent sleep, meals...

If at the end of the day, he found himself overwhelmed even with the help of bus, medicine...He'll just step back and pursue his music/writing career.

Now if you add a billion dollars on top of that, I don't think his strategy would change much because otherwise he's risking his life.

Finally, it's a matter of if you believe what he described (about his possible panick attacks) are real and that serious. If you believe it, what he did is totally reasonable. If you don't believe it, then I don't know what to say.
