Well obviously, they didn't draft him because they thought he would suck. They also painted themselves into a corner and have to handle the situation carefully. There is already this notion that the Rockets don't care about players as individuals, all the players are nothing but asset's blah blah ... One positive is that they could change that image if things somehow work out with this situation.
With this attitude, prepare to be disappointed. I think you're misunderstanding his intent when he talks to the media.
with a bus in the pot, what did Royce say to Morey? "i see your Linsanity and raise you anxiety." Morey folds. i won't be here all week folks.
Will Royce White get an anxiety attack when during the Rockets home game introduction jumbo screen video, he sees a rocket ship blast off into space... Fear of flying, how about fear of blasting off into the freaking moon????
They should send him to one of those private space camps like they have in Russia. They do orbital/sub-orbital space flights, zero gravity training, fly you around in a Mig ..etc ... A simple commuter flight would be a breeze after that.
typically i would agree with you, but have you been flying recently? It's something to be endured ...even by those of us without anxiety disorders.
BREAKING NEWS Royce White has added a few more stipulations. White demands 1 hour of uninterrupted meditation time before and after each game, his own private bus to and from games, and now Tony Clifton must start 4 games this season for the Rockets. All kidding aside, I really like White. I hope this gets resolved soon.
Money says once he actually touches the court, he'll be subconsciously pushing himself near super saiyan levels to make up for lost time. I feel like he's the type that may "pull a stunt" (for lack of better terms) like this but show any inconvenience will be made up for in hustle.
and here I thought the contract he signed (without concern for his 'issues') was pretty formal.... jus sayin...
White is a little baby. Sorry to be so harsh on someone with a disorder but we all have problems. None of us sign million dollar contracts and then want them edited later on. He isn't being an advocate for anyone. Pick should have been used on someone else. I see this guy being a problem down the line. Go back and read his description of how he feels when he flies. I am sure 80% of the board feels the same way. I know I do.
how did this get overlooked during signing the contract and drafting him? This guy seems like a best case scenerio boris diaw, which he could help, but worth all this crap?
Yea I hope he plays well in the start of the year so we can trade him, like the asset he is, to Bobcats or Kings. I hope he enjoys his time in NBA-hell.
