So says the guy that said this:

You just have to change the parameters, i.e. directing them to count part-time jobs. How else do you, a purported numbers guy, explain how 114,000 jobs can move the national jobless rate from 8.3 to 7.8?

And then claimed that a WSJ that talks about how numbers are calculated think it supports this argument.

At least when Romney wins, us liberal Rockets fans can at least enjoy watching Dwight Howard on our team!

I can guarantee you, if there is any chance Romney has, its not through the popular vote.

Wow, this is big for Obama. The expected unemployment rate was for it to actually edge up to 8.2%. I expected a weak number and the tick up on the UE rate and compounding that with the debate loss for this to be made a race again. It did the exact opposite, although the jobs number is not as strong as needed any addition is better than a loss.

HUGE given what happened a couple of days ago.

Remember that "algebra" is an Arabic word. Math guys are in the tank for Obama.

    7.8%

Unemployment drops down to the level it was on the day of the inauguration of President Obama. A survey of U.S. households showed 873,000 more Americans had jobs compared to a month earlier. Simply outstanding numbers, and a surprise for both campaigns. I certainly didn't expect that kind of drop. These numbers are volatile, but no matter how you slice it, this is huge for Barack Obama and his reelection. The numbers come from career bureaucrats who have served presidents of both parties. These numbers are not "cooked," and the suggestion by the Republican Party supporters on FOX News and elsewhere is simply laughable. Show us proof, or shut up.

Gigantic. I will trade Obama's lackluster debate performance everyday, and twice on Sundays, for an unemployment rate of 7.8%. It trumps the debate. It trumps the debate, and I'm not talking about The Donald. It changes the dynamic of the election for the next month, and that is everything.

4 years after the end of the disastrous Bush presidency that Obama got elected to erase and he can finally brag about getting the unemployment level back to where it was when he started.

By any account, the effect of the last administration is always felt months into the next.
