I see a significant increase for mine. At the same time I feel that the hospital system is not even the same as 10 years ago. The hospital and the insurance companies are two greedy faces of the same coin.

This is an example Obama is going to rob the middle class in the name of equality. There are too many poor and too many lazy bones in this country are waiting in the line of "Obama care" to be spoon fed. I couldn't believe the illegal immigrants are put ahead of the legal immigrants in the waiting queue to gain legal status(EAD/AP etc) and somebody can openly say so publicly with no consequences. Romney will not give a shiit to the working class either. He will be busy making the rich richer.

The middle class is going downhill and the country will soon become Latin Americanized.

I'd suggest you do some basic research about health care costs in this country. I understand the sentiment but you're voicing your frustrations towards the wrong demographic. Here is an article to get you started:http://usatoday30.usatoday.com/NEWS/usaedition/2012-01-12-healthstats12_ST_U.htm

It is not mexicans or blacks or poor, it is the cost of sustaining life for 70+ year olds. The chemo, the drugs, the repeated doctor visits for someone in their last 2-5 years of life are what is causing massive price increases in health care costs socialized through insurance.

I say this because I just witnessed my 83 year old grandfather (RIP) who should have died at age 77 but whose life was spared at an expense over the last 6 years of over $5+ million dollars. Quite an emotional topic but one that absolutely needs to be addressed with an aging population.

The only winners in all of this are the corporate entities that own hospitals and treatment delivery systems (drugs & machinery associated with treatment). Health care should be non profit IMO but too many corporate shareholders are cashing in on this money making machine at the expense of the youthful. Thank you affordable care act for forcing us all to participate!

I am persuaded by this hypothetical anectdote that cites nothing at all!

Five stars will read again. *****

Good to know those two things are mutually exclusive. Conservative bigotry, out of date but always on time.

To follow up my post, here is another article citing a figure of 129k as the cost of sustaining 1 year of life. Given that the annual cost of insurance per individual (as I recall) is about $8500, this means that a disproportionate amount of money is being paid by the young and healthy to support those in the last several years of life.

Funny how this act was most adamantly supported by Obama's youthful supporters while they will ultimately bare the brunt of the expense as the baby boomers age and die away very slowly.

Are you insured under a company policy? Do you buy your own insurance? Specifically, what makes you believe your insurance go up significantly?

Actually, because of Obamacare, we got a rebate check back from our son's insurance plan.

My costs of care went down actually, plus I can now easily cover my girlfriend for only $75 a month if we get a domestic partnership... Apparently men and women can also get domestic partnerships.

Well maybe young Obama supporters are in favor of keeping people alive and providing them with healthcare even if it costs them a few extra bucks.

It's not really that surprising to me.

Health care spending, not health insurance premiums, has grown at a slower rate, FactCheck.org says. But credit goes to the bad economy, not Obama, for the slower growth in health care spending. As for premiums, Obamacare "was responsible for a 1 percent to 3 percent increase last year because of more generous coverage requirements."

You insurance company is the group responsible for the increase. These things don't just magically happen. Your insurance company decided to raise your rates.

My health insurance rates have slowed down considerably the last two years. I don't know what you are talking about...
