Why dont you go to some place like Cash America or another check cashing /loan place...400 is not a lot. I am sure they will give it to you and you can make payments.
My offer still stands. You can click on my user name and email me from there. I felt really awkward after I posted my cell number earlier. I'm glad your pup isn't suffering right now and you're doing everything you can to help.
I never saw the cell# but i will def keep you in mind... it wont be untill tomorrow because.i get my checl from work and gonnas ask them for an advance/loan... im getting pretty close, hopefully i wont need your help but if i do i will email you... thank you very much for your kindness...
I hope it works out. Rooting for you. Too bad there are no Dexter's on the BBS who could do the amputation for free.
Well i got the money together, and jus got back from the vet... i found one by my house for 400, and hes currently waiting for surgery and ill recieve a call when he is done... Thank you to everyone for encouragement, now hoping for a healthy surgery...
This thread took a total 180. It was so depressing and then it seems to have a happy ending. I hope your dog makes it out well.
awww so happy you didn't have to put him down....hope the surgery goes well. we'll definitely need a pic of the three legged wonder puppy when he's feeling better
Ok, I really hope you'll not take this as a personal attack, but if you can't afford medical care for your pet, you should really consider whether or not you should have a pet at all. Pets are not cheap. Much like having human children, it's not just the expense of food, bedding, toys, etc. You have to be ready to provide for their needs in an emergency. I sincerely hope you find a solution for your current troubles, as I know you mean well. Best of luck!
Honestly if I were you I would look for a no-kill shelter that has vacancy in Houston and give your dog up. You seem to be in a situation right now where you cannot take care of your dog. It is not just about $400 for the surgery, you also have to realize that there are going to be so many other fees for Meds and Future care. If you cant come up with $400 and are on minimum wage (and paying for your mom's bills) how do you expect to take care of your dog's future fees? This is coming from a dog owner, I think you should be more realistic with your situation and make a responsible decision for both you and your dog.
So he died twice during surgeory but hes still alive... the infection was so bad it spread to his blood stream... hes breathing on his own and blinking, but dont know if hell come back the same, depends on if he kept proper oxygen flow to his brain... im currently jus waiting....
I know it's probably quite a drive, but Dr. Huber in League City is an awesome vet, cares about the animals and is usually really good about payments. League City Animal Clinic (281) 332-0644 I hope it works out for you.
Hmm. I guess we should draw the conclusion it did not have a good outcome. Sorry for your loss (if that's the case). If the dog is recovering, then you should let us know how it is going because you started this thread and left a cliffhanger.
