The bus gives him more room to go to sleep or eat dinner.

If you we're really that curious you would read up on some things yourself. He requires a level of comfort and familiarity, a routine. A bus could possibly provide him with a kitchen and bedroom large enough to suit his needs, etc. A 'nice Towncar' is cramped and does not provide some things he would want during a long road trip.

Maybe some people don't agree, but I refuse to listen to anyone who is not educated in some regard to mental illnesses.

And how in fact do you intend to evaluate each posters credentials in this area?

He wants to live the life of a rockstar and have a tour bus.

And rumor is this is also about the fact he has been plotting to not have the rookie chore of carrying bags.

Ironic thing is: 80% of the team is rookies so he wouldn't have had to carry many bags anyhow.

That's kinda what I was getting at, a bus seems like overkill, just hire a limo company or something.

I can think of a few reasons.

    1) Less chance of being injured in a bus crash

    2) A bus has a bathroom and kitchen and bedroom built in, so no need for stops.

    3) It will allow other people to travel with him, friends/family/teammates to make the roadies easier.

Like I said, he has more knowledge about their travel schedule than any of us. He may be counting team related events and connecting flights for all I know. I said 64 minimum, so I'm counting on it being more.

Whether the number is 70 or 100 is beside the point. The point is he couldnt even make the single one to Houston to make training camp. So the idea that he may find 30 or 40 acceptable is moot.

I hope I can make it across the border. I hope to see my coach and shake his hand. I hope the Oklahoma City cheerleaders are as hot as they've been in my dreams. I hope.

Umm, what? He didn't no-show training camp (which isn't in Houston) because he was afraid of that particular flight (I'm pretty sure you can drive to McAllen anyway). He no-showed because he didn't want to commit to the team or season until he had something in writing about his travel obligations. He admitted he waited too late to bring this up. He himself said that the less flights the better, so I'm inclined to believe him over you about what will help him.

I'm sure Lin and Parsons resent taking a 2 hour plane ride in first class on a charter jet when the team gets out of the arena after 11 p.m. when Royce has the privilege of taking an 8 hour bus ride in his comfy bus?

I mean, if the Rockets give Royce bus privilege now, what are they gonna do next? Give a player's little brother a summer league team spot?
