He's great and all but I don't think guys that are under 6'5" really matter much in today's game because there are bigger guys that can do just as much but translate to more due to their size. Not a big fan...

Jeremy Lin is actually pretty big for a point guard, 6'3 and 200lbs.

 

Rockets fans don't really care about what he did with the Knicks, they care about what he'll do for the Rockets.

This is just like another group of people who kept referring to the Orlando Magic in the Rockets forums all the time.

We destroyed them with our tradition and superior basketball knowledge and love for the Rockets.

 

Just another self-important internet person trying to define other people's fandom like it means anything. What Lin did last season in NY was special, and any real basketball fan should be able to appreciate it.

Considering Lin hasn't played a single regular season game with the Rockets yet, I'd say the fans that actually watched him in NY are more knowledgeable about his game right now then the ones who just read the stat line or watch ESPN.

Jeremy hasn't played a regular season game with the Rockets yet. Typically when judging new players you look at what they've done in the past, and Lin played his most significant minutes with the Knicks last season. Maybe someone brings that up from time to time. Deal with it.
