Interesting development: Royce White missed Media Day yesterday and today's first practice for a "personal matter." Team has no comment.
— ClutchFans.net (@clutchfans) October 2, 2012
This did not sound good. The Rockets told us Royce White missed Media Day yesterday (which is why we didn't see him) and is not here in McAllen. They're saying he's out with a "personal matter." Team has no comment on it. They also do not know when he will be back.
Dont think it's an anxiety related. Is Media Day really any worse than when he was introduced? And camp is just basketball....more than likely family issues, if not a team issue...we'll have to wait and see.
I have no clue what the issue is -- but when asked when he would be back, the team had no idea when he would return. It did not sound ordinary at all.
Thanks for the report Clutch, and not jumping to conclusions. Doesn't really sound like anyone has a clue other than one or two people in the organization. He's been radio silent for a few days on Twitter as well so Its not like he's piping off to the world about how much he hates McHale or anything. As of now, it could very well be legit.
well he's about to embark on his first year in the league. theres got to be alot of pressure. he'll be okay. he's been a collegiate athlete... are the pros THAT much different?
Gotta be a family issue. That could explain why the team has no comment. No one likes their personal matters exposed. If it were something else, I feel they would of at least told us more.
Hopefully it isn't anything too serious. I was really hoping he would come into camp and take that starting PF position.
Don't worry guys, Royce needs a little bit more time to come out of his heart injury from fighting over CP's couch with Lin.
