I heard that the actual quote was,

“I don’t have time...It would take me too long to go through all the math, and it doesn't apply to 47% of you anyway.”

I'm almost in awe of the audacity of these guys now. They really seem to be trolling people now. I mean, in all honesty, Romney is a smart guy in regards to MICRO-economics, but he seems to be SO lost in regards to MACRO-economics that he no longer knows what to do or what to say. Ryan is a Tea-Party puppet, and has always been such.

To say that he won't explain things because "it would take too long" is a slap in the face to the people that support them. They OWE these people an explanation. Don't ask for their vote, and then not tell them why they should vote for you. And republicans call Obama condescending?

Thought the republicans were going to simplify the tax code? Must be so simple they dont have time to explain it

Didn't Ryan make some comment early on about not running away from the hard questions?

The healthcare plan was under debate for over a year, that is hardly the "very last second."

Like I said before, the attack ads practically write themselves.

All the Obama campaign needs now is a simple mashup of "We will simplify the tax code!" ... "It would take me too long to go through all the math."... "We will not run away from the hard questions!" ... "You haven't given me the math." and the ad would be done.

Honestly, that is part of the problem with the current tax plan. It would take too long to explain, and is too confusing for a majority of Americans.

I really wanted to vote for someone other than Obama this year, but it doesn't look like that will happen. Romney/Ryan have done a pitiful job so far and I really don't have high expectations from them in the coming month. Their only platform is 'we're no Obama.' While that might work for a high school prom queen vote, it wont fly for the Presidential race.

I actually think Paul Ryan is the "future of the party" that they tried to sell Palin and Quayle as twenty years earlier. If he were pro-choice and possibly non-religious I bet he would appeal to a lot younger and professional independent voters.

Honestly, they will never admit it, but it's quite clear that even the usually festive repubs on the board are becoming more and more p'ed off about this charade. Their disdain for Obama will sustain them, but this race is over and they are already thinking about 2016.

Who can blame them? This is so insulting.

Why did Chris Wallace grill him? He's with FOX.

Dude is not Sean Hannity - you are talking about a guy that has been in broadcast journalism for 30+ years for PBS, NBC, and ABC, has won 3 emmy's, had grilled Reagan basically calling him a liar to his face, and is a registered democrat.

Although Bill Clinton once accused him of being a shill for the Republicans.

Bill Clinton is a bit sensitive about 9/11.
