So... the cost of the "czars" are counted as expenses on "the Obamas"? The article makes it sound like the amount was spent on the personal needs of the first family.

The 43 "czars" (like the "auto bailout czar") are most likely not first family-related expenses. I'll also bet the same goes with most of the "469 senior staffers"-- those are most likely policy related positions. My guess is someone else was doing these policy jobs and Obama probably have those jobs done by people listed as White House staff rather than at the cabinet department level.

As for the frequency of Air Force 1 use: It probably has something to do with the campaign and fundraising needs in this election cycle, particularly in light of all that Citizen United Super PAC money.

 

It looks like this "study" confuses the Obama Family with the Office of the President of the United States. Included in the figures are such things as Secret Service protection, White House repair and restoration, Diplomatic gift exchanges for the State Department, the National Security Council, the cost for Air Force One and Marine One, staff to deal with correspondence, the VP residence, etc. In short, it is the White House budget, not anything specifically related to the Obama family except the fantasies already debunked. And by the way, the Obama White House budget is about $200 million less than the previous occupant.

For details, the largest expenses are what you would expect: transportation and security, which are about half the total.

It's not surprising that gwayneco posts things from a racists website, but your presentation of the actual facts, and misrepresentation by the author in the claims he's making, only show why this thread should have never been started in the first place.
