At wide receiver this week, who do I put my faith in.

    WR (pick 2):

    The Good Match Up Guys

    Mike Williams vs Washington
Washington is giving up the most receiving tds (10) and the 2nd most yards per game (337). And while Williams has very few catches this year, he has been Freeman's #2 target behind VJ. Problem is, I loathe Josh Freeman with a passion. If anybody can screw this game up, he can.

    Mario Manningham Vs Jets
Interesting stat: as bad as people think mario manningham is, last week he caught all of his passes thrown his way, total of 5, and sits just 1 catch behind Vernon Davis for 2nd on the team in catches. This week manningham gets a 3rd string db Kyle Wilson. On paper, a good matchup, but of course, when you play with Manningham you play with fire. Last year, when Nicks was inactive, Manningham took over, and stunk it up. Instead that game launched the Victor Cruz show. Fantasy rules to live by: If you can't have fantasy success with Eli, you ain't doing something right, which is to say, I'm leery of the play here.

    James Jones vs New Orleans
James Jones has my attention. I was burned by him in week 2, and I initially wrote him off this week. Then I began to look at his stats a little deeper. One thing jumps clearly out: James Jones is tied for 3rd in targets (19), tied for 3rd in Receptions (11) and 2nd in yardage (135) with a td. Had he caught that gimme td in week 1, he'd sit atop the tds on the team by wrs with 2 and would have had 3 double digit fantasy weeks. All of this is very interesting to me. The only downside to this is his reception % is fairly low, but he did catch 5 of 6 passes last week.

The #1 Wrs on Bad Offensive Teams

    Golden Tate @ St. Louis
There is a lot of bad karma with this game. Tate coming out and saying that he thought the bogus catch was a good reception and seattle going into St. Louis, who has a pretty stout Rams pass defense. I could see Jeff Fisher making so moves to confuse Russell Wilson. But Wilson HAS to throw it to somebody, right? Tate could get a score simply by that fact alone.

The Phenoms in Bad Match ups

    Andrew Hawkins @ Jacksonville
So, Hawkins has been my #3 (really #2) fantasy wideout next to Percy Havin and Larry Fitzgerald. However, it took a 50 yard pass play against the worst passing d in the league last week to make him a good play. Hawkins rarely saw the ball come to him and it looks as if Cinny is giving Hawkins or or 2 shots at the most a game downfield. So far, he's capitalized on them, but this might be the week to back off and go for better match ups.

Anyone still hanging on to Blackmon at this point? Thinking of dropping him for Barden, Hankerson, Titus Young, LaFell, DHB, or Edelman.

Go Barden or Edelman. Both being a better stash than Blackmon at this point.

    Vincent Jackson or Pierre Garcon?

Texans D(V. Ten.) or Seattle D(plays STL)?

    I'm leaning Jackson/Texans.

Leshoure (Questionable: Groin) at Minnesota or Mathews against the Chiefs at Arrowhead?

Edelman is out this week, so go for Barden, since Nicks is still out.

I've got another question regarding WRs

I have Victor Cruz and Desean Jackson starting, and have Lance Moore @GB in the flex, also have Andrew Hawkins (@Jac) and Andre Roberts vs Miami, also for flex I have Pierre Thomas.

so last week Nicks got hurt, and Eli spread the ball giving only 6 rec and 42 yards to Cruz, are we going to see the same thing again? or what about Desean Jackson, he could have a great game, but doesnt look like it.

also Andrew Hawkins looks great, he is the 2nd WR besides A.J. Green, and he had a TD in the last two games.

    Go Bush and Stewart.

    For your WRs

Go Mike Williams and either Jones/Hawkins. I'm leaning toward Hawkins since G. Jennings is back.

This is the short version of my previous post.

Pick two WRs and 1 flex please:
    Victor Cruz @PHI
    Desean Jackson vs NYG
    Lance Moore @GB
    Andrew Hawkins @JAC
    Andre Roberts vs MIA
    Pierre Thomas @GB

    Thanks.

Who do I start at QB?

Philip Rivers at Kansas City or Michael Vick at home with NYG?

I would start Rivers, Vick is a turnover machine now.

Flex depends on your team I would say. Most cases you flex the rb for the safe points, but if you think you need more firepower/upside then you look at your boom bust types.

Either way, baby Hawk all the way. Cruz because last Sunday showed us you always start your studs and probably Jackson because there are players who just seem to do better against a certain team and under the bright lights of prime time (even though he's a dumbass for dogging it last year).

Moore; he always seems to catch TDs, right?

Umm against gb's top rated pass defense? I like not.

The choice is between Deangelo and Fred Davis.

I like both plays for certain reasons and you usually play a rb over a receiver, but Davis has a GREAT matchup this week. Tampa's d is stout against the run and they will get after you, but if you get the ball to the second level they are horrendous.

The play is Fred Davis and it ain't close. Though, last year, Deangelo broke an 87 yarder against these same Falcons. And deangelo is an AP clone when it comes to upright running style and ap went for 2 scores in week one. Davis also has been a fantasy dud for most of the season until last week. So, it is close. But I still think Davis is the play.

*** check that, 74 yarder. I know I said it ain't close then it is. Probably somewhere in between.
