You guys seriously wanted black alt. jerseys for the Rockets? Black is nowhere near the neighborhood of Flame Red, Rocket White and Championship Yellow.
I third the motion. Leave the black-on-black gimmicks to NY and LA bandwagoners. People who think their sideways NYY hat is cool in their custom triple black '98 Civic. I agree that it seems like a Spurs jersey. It sounds like I'm bitter but I just think it's comical how often this is debated on Clutchfans.
The Spurs have silver in their jerseys. The Nets don't. It's not obvious in those pics, but they will look a lot more different when watching them on screen.
I'd like to see something like this happen to Cuban. He'd go nuts, make it public, make the NBA feel stupid for it.
The font for Brooklyn looks good, but the Nets logo is plain terrible. I know they were going for simple and clean, but it does not look professionally done. It looks like something perhaps a video game would provide when they couldn't get permission to use the team's official logo. And, the similarity to the Spurs is plain ridiculous. I'm not really appreciating the silver-vs-white contrast argument. Spurs should sue them for infringing. Can you remind us how we know the Rox wanted a black alternate? I don't see any compelling reason the Rockets should wear black and I have to wonder how badly they could have really wanted it at all.
Funny you say that, because it does look exactly like a 2K logo. Yeah, the Spurs and Nets jerseys look the same- but when they play each other one will be in white and the other will be in black.
