We seem to be moving toward a new free speech paradigm. So, here's a thought experiment. A Democrat says something hateful about the Tea Party. The Tea Party then riots killing four other Democrats. Does not this new paradigm demand the arrest of the Democrat responsible for the hateful speech?
Republicans are right our public education system has failed. to answer the question Only if the democrat was on probation and shouldn't have been on the internet.
I lean left on some things and right on others. I haven't really followed the details of the story about the movie that has Muslims so worked up, but of course I've seen the headlines w/re: the violence that has erupted in the Middle East and other predominantly Muslim countries over said movie. And while I haven't seen the trailer/movie/whatever it is, I'm fairly certain it's disgusting and offensive. That said, I find the thought of any "new free speech paradigm" even more disgusting and offensive, and just about the most un-American thing ever. As to the example given in the OP, IMO the rioting Tea Partiers should be held accountable for their actions. You don't have the right to murder someone just because your feelings were hurt, no matter the circumstance.
That exactly why he was arrested. The probation violations are just a pretext exploited by Holder and HRC.
So you're saying he should not have been arrested due to the probation violations? For your example, if the Democrat broke a law or violated an existing parole, then I guess he should be arrested.
If the Democrat dug a bunch of holes in the Teabagger's back yard and ordered a bunch of Chinese food to his house on Christmas Eve.
If he made a pro-Obama film with those same production values, probably no one would have paid attention to it and so his true identity would not have come to light. In that case, yeah, he wouldn't have been arrested because no one would have known he was committing a parole violation.
Obama would have nothing to gain from intervening in that way. Its not like only Republicans have been arrested since he's taken office.
Somebody ought to keep track of how long he's detained for on this arrest. I think that would be telling of the motivation.
