[Video Game] FIFA 13

If you go into the career mode you create a player with base stats that improve based on your accomplishments. I'm assuming you have to use those players online otherwise it would just be a bunch of 99 rated players. I guess the other create a player is in case you wanted to make Pele or something.

In FIFA 11 you created a player and then used that player in the career mode.

 

You can get them offline.

Edit: It looks like there are bonuses you can buy in the catalog that will boost your pro.

Edit 2: After reading more about it, it looks like you can't use your offline virtual pro in the online mode, you'll have to make one just for online, and you can only get their accomplishments online.

 

You are probably right. Yeah you get a bunch of points for the EAS club and then you can buy certain things in the EAS store like abilities etc. You have to play and do challenges to get points and buy the skills.

 

Best upgrade from '12 to '13 ... They added a knockout bracket visual for tournament mode. Bugged the hell out of me that I couldn't see upcoming match ups during the knockout rounds.

I wish they'd add more international teams too.

 

Played a couple pro club matches. All I want to say is UGH. What a waste of time.

You definitely need to play with people you know and understand football. I mean it was like a bunch of guys going 1 on 1 and playing like they are chickens with their heads cut off. Everyone wants to be a forward.

First game only slot left was a CB and I am trying to be correct the whole game and then I notice I am the lone defender on every breakaway by the other team.

Second game I played RM and i was in open space about 60% of the time but never got a pass when I was wide open. They rather sit there and try to beat the whole team with skills which no matter how good will not happen.

I built a CAM so I want to help him get better but won't happen the way these teams are.

 

Sounds like a Pro Ranked Match lol.. Are you sure it was Club match?

Anyway you need to play with good clubs.. The club I played with last season was Top 100.

 

Was that later on for you?

Just wondering, because I remember when we first played a few games against each other, I beat you two times out of two. Then I got away from the game for a few months, and when we played each other again, you killed me. Maybe playing with a top team improved your play.

Or I just got crappier. :grin:

Yea I joined that top club later. After we played in that club "The Blueprint". But honestly I pretty much stopped playing H2H so am terrible at it now. When you stopped for a while I was probably playing alot. Then summer came and I stopped playing as much so I lost that "touch" lol.

 

Ya, one can definitely get out of practice.

Also, it might partly be just that this version is more difficult... but I'm rusty enough that I'm actually finding playing against a top team on Legendary difficulty is actually very tough for me. I sort of hope it stays difficult for me, because I like to be able to get a challenge without having to go online, where most people I play seem to disconnect if I'm up by 2, or even 1 sometimes.

Incidentally, is it just me, or are the menus way more sluggish this year?

 

Will receive the game om friday, can't wait to make a Brazil squad on Ultimate Team. Will start with the guys from the Brazilian league and then work my way up.

 

Anybody by chance run into the problem in manager mode where the ball is invisible during matches...? It shows up in the pre-match training game, but not in the actual game. This is my cry for help.

 

Happened to me on manager mode too, the other problem I had is that one time it froze when I was on the menu. FIFA is always buggy as hell on release, I just hope there aren't more fatal flaws.

 

did a little digging around in my panic and figured out that it's fixed if you change the ball from default.

Soon as my internet stops sucking, and I buy for PS3, I'll play it.

 

I've always wished for this too, but I'm guessing it's not something that will become a reality as long as EA also releases a World Cup game every four years with basically all of the national teams in it.
