Hi, I'm hoping to travel from Canada to Houston in November to watch a couple of Rockets games. I've never been to Houston. Got lots of questions, here's some of them:
    • When do the single game tickets go on sale?
    • If the games I want are sold out, where do I look for individual game tickets (resale)? How trustworthy are they?
    • Hotel suggestions? Near Toyota Centre?
    • How easy/difficult it is to get around Houston?
    • What section is the best if I want to cheer loud?
    • What section is the best if I want to see the home team players up close?
    • What else should I go see while I'm in Houston, NASA and???
    • Any other tips?

Thanks to all those who replies. No trolling please :)

Cheer loud wherever you want. That said, if you want to be around people who cheer loud, too, then that is the Rockets Rowdie section near 114. but, with all do respect to the Rockets Red Rowdies, you will be behind the basket. So you are giving up view but will have a lot of fun, regardless.
That would be 119...however, when you price these, my season ticketholder experience is most of us like to be on the other side of the court so we can watch the benches from the front. That is sections 106-108. (Plus they are at the entrance and less walking.) I think those are the best. But if you can get near floor in 119 or the corners around that, then that is the best view of the players. But those are sold out, so you will have to buy them off market. You should try.

So when on vacation, go for very low rows in 119, 118 or 114 to get the closest photos to the Rockets, yet the other side (106-108) is what I buy for myself for overall best game experience from someone who has done the behind the bench experience before.

You can get seats from the Rockets for 106-108 in the back as soon as they go on sale. If you want 119 behind the bench ... those are perennially sold out to season ticketholders, but you can buy them after market. Expect to spend $300 minimum.

Here's a map so you can see what I'm talking about. 119 is behind the Rockets bench.

You can buy tickets anytime but good ones reserve online when the season starts... that said... shouldn't be too competitive unless they start having a winning season. Enjoy Htown friend.

    wrong

great seats are sold out every year to season ticketholders before the season single ticket sales start. They don't go on sale. The first 20-25 rows of anything sideline is sold right now...every year.

Rockets might suck, but the best seats are never available to the public single game sales, because if they were, I would have bought them as a season ticketholder with first dibs.

OMG OMG OMG! Just bought tickets to the Bulls game and the Knicks game.

    Bulls: sec 411 row 3 @$40
    Knicks: sec 119 row 16 $275

I bought nose-bleed tickets to the Bulls game just because I thought since I'm going all the way to Houston I might as well watch one more game, and the Bulls game is closest to the Knicks game.

I took heypartner's advice in choosing 119. Please somebody tell me those seats are good.

    OMG... I'm so excited!!!!!

Now, Holiday Inn or Embassy Suites?

My season tickets are in 119, don't know yet if I'm going to that game, but it's one of the best sections in the house.

    119? Really? Those seats suck.

Here, I'm a stand up kind of guy. We can trade tickets so you can have a good view.

Embassy Suites has a better view of downtown overall. Holiday Inn has a sweet view of 59, the freeway.

NASA's a long drive, sure you wanna spend your time doing that? I'd rather go to the Cockrell Museum, Bayou Place, or Kemah. Leave your Raptors jersey at home ;)
