What I love is how that clip pretty much summarizes the entire Arab Israeli conflict.

It's rare someone actually gets caught, but nearly all subway ads will get defaced if left up long enough. It's a misdemeanor if you are caught. She is definitely guilty of that.

Civil disobedience is a time tested and powerful tool to affect change. I think the posters are terrible and wish Pamela Geller would go crawl back under the rock she came from.

But part of civil disobedience is that the whole purpose of it is to get arrested. That's kind of the point. And if you make a big fuss about being arrested, you have just undermined what you were trying to do. She should have just surrendered herself.

The other woman had no right to interfere or prevent her from doing what she was doing. It's not her role to play cop to defend a freaking advertisement. She should have called the police and left it at that.

These ads are not welcomed here in NYC. They are an eyesore and just done to promote hate. But it's a testament to how much this country honors free speech and I think more good comes from them going up than bad.

LOL remind me of my Palestinian friend yesterday. We were walking on the street and by a Jewish community center, and he walked up and spat on the Israeli Flag.

I lol'd so hard while people around were just staring in shock.

Anyway, that ad is such a troll, and she fell for it

Actually (assuming my quick and dirty research was right) she does have the right to prevent her from doing what she was doing.

Nope, read more carefully my friend. That's for a FELONY. She was committing a MISDEMEANOR.

You can interfere if someone is trying to kill someone. But you can't interfere if someone is popping a cold one outside in the park.

    ^Readng comprehension fail by StupidMoniker.

I got into it with somone on FB over this. I'm torn on this bc I feel like Muslims need to grow thicker skin. Smart people can decipher what's true or false. Is the ad outta line? Sure. But let the ignorant be ignorant.

Because the faces on the people passing by and staring in shock were absolutely priceless. It was so awkward it became hilarious.

Not that I care, but I think YOU should read more carefully. ;) It differentiates b/t a felony and "an offence other than a felony". See Section 1.(b) and the 2nd sentence of Section 2.

Pretty much. She's counting on making a scene to get publicity for her objection to the ad, just like the publishers of the ad were counting on someone making a scene to spread the message of that ad. It's just a bunch of attention whores.

Though it's a shame this lady couldn't get an effective can of spray paint.

    In the mind of tallanvor:

    Palestinian spits on Israeli flag:
    OMG WHAT A HORRIBLE PERSON.

Israeli spits on any flag of any Arab country:
WHAT A MODEL CITIZEN. STANDING UP FOR HIS/HER RIGHTS. SYMBOLIC SPEECH!

    *ahem*

    2. Such an arrest, if for a felony, may be made anywhere in the
state. If the arrest is for an offense other than a felony, it may be

Putting together the post brought tears to my eyes. Anyone who teaches their children to hate for the sake of hating is acting like a savage. I may have some issues with other religious doctrines, but I never teach my children to hate someone, especially if it is just because of their religious beliefs, sexual orientation, colour of skin or nationality.

Some Jews teach their children to hate Arabs just like some Arabs teach their children to hate Jews, both are wrong in my opinion.

Unfortunately kids on both sides are the pawns in this chess game and usually pay the price with their young lives.

I am a Fan of free speech but I'm not a fan of Pamela Geller.
